(ThyBlackMan.com) The OnePlus 7 Pro is the new challenger in the smartphone market. This mid-range Android phone, with top-notch tech, already has an edge over its competitors Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and Apple’s iPhone XS series by certain measures. With its all-screen display, a pop-up camera system, big battery, and fluid Oxygen OS, the OnePlus 7 Pro features something more which you’re going to love.
- Warp Charge 30
The OnePlus 7 Pro has a 4,000mAh battery that easily powers the phone through the day and even more. With fast charging support, the battery level can reach from zero to 60 percent in just 30 minutes. It means charging your phone for 30 minutes can give it sufficient power to run all day.
To help save some battery power, the OnePlus 7 Pro uses a smart power management system that alters the refresh rate and display resolution depending on what appears on your mobile phone’s screen. The company also claims that the phone charges 34 percent faster than the OnePlus 6T and it stays cool even when you charge it while playing games.
With its 10-layer liquid cooling system, the OnePlus 7 Pro doesn’t heat too much when you play games. Also, gaming doesn’t really affect the phone’s charging speed. In lab tests, it was found that the OnePlus 7 Pro charges faster than the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus while playing games. Charging is very fast on the phone, but you need to make sure that you’re using the original OnePlus adapter with the cable because most of the fast charging circuitry is hidden in the adapter.
- 90 Hz Refresh Rate
The OnePlus 7 Pro uses the world’s first AMOLED display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It sounds great! But what does it really mean in real life usage? In simple words, on a mobile phone display with a 90Hz refresh rate, scrolling and navigation become smooth. You won’t see icons or a bunch of images shaking on a fast scroll and when you zoom in or zoom out images.
This is not the first time when a smartphone is using a higher refresh rate than the standard 60 Hz refresh rate on display. Razer Phone 2 already has a 120Hz display and it looks gorgeous. One of the biggest reasons why higher refresh is better on a mobile display is quality. The refresh rate matters because it makes the whole experience with UI smoother and faster.
Having a display with a 90Hz refresh rate on a smartphone is good for OnePlus 7 Pro because those who will experience this beauty, they may not want to go back to a smartphone with a lower quality display. This is one of the features that make the OnePlus 7 Pro a better choice for gaming and media consumption.
- UFS 3.0 storage
Once you unbox the OnePlus 7 Pro, you won’t regret your decision. The phone comes with a whopping 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage capacity. Note that the phone is also available in 6GB, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage options. All the models use the latest Snapdragon 855 processor which is absolutely the best thing you can expect from an Android flagship in 2019. The Oxygen OS makes the whole experience faster and smoother. Arguably, it is the best custom skin built on Android for smartphones.
It all looks good when the high-speed RAM meets UFC 3.0 storage. For those not familiar with the UFS 3.0, it is the latest iteration of the flash memory standard that reads and writes data at a higher speed. Not many of today’s smartphones use this technology, so you can notice the difference in the performance. The use of UFS 3.0 storage makes the OnePlus 7 Pro the fastest smartphone available in the market. Samsung is expected to use UFS 3.0 storage in its Galaxy Note 10.
By now, you probably know about all the OnePlus 7 Pro features including its new camera system, Oxygen OS tweaks and everything else. Two more interesting features we saw in this phone are Zen Mode and full-screen capture. Users can now record everything in a better way using the recording mode, YouTubers will love this feature. The Zen Mode allows users to take a 20-min break from their digital life as it restricts access to all the features of OnePlus 7 Pro except the camera and calling.
