(ThyBlackMan.com) The iPhone 2018 news and updates are making rounds on a daily basis, but the phone is still nothing more than a rumor. As far as the existing devices are concerned, fans are still busy discussing the iPhone 8 vs Pixel 2 battle. Both companies are doing great in terms of their smartphone sales, but it seems that Google failed to beat Apple, at least when it comes to comparing the Pixel 2 with the iPhone 8.

Here are 5 reasons why the iPhone 8 is better than the Google Pixel 2.

1. Apple’s A11 Bionic chip is unbeatable

Sorry, Google fans, your favorite smartphone maker still needs something more powerful than Apple’s A11 Bionic chip. Look at the testing benchmarks and you’ll see the Pixel 2 being beaten by the iPhone 8. The A11 Bionic chip in the iPhone 8 delivers more power than Google’s new smartphone. In the real-world tests, editing a 4K video with Adobe Clips app takes less than a minute but on the Pixel 2, it takes around 3 minutes. You can open a PDF file in less than a second on the iPhone 8 but Google Pixel 2 needs more than 2 seconds to open the same 5MB file.

2. It has wireless charging

Turn the iPhone 8 over and you will realize that the phone’s back is glass and not aluminium. It’s a significant change and why it matters because it enables users to charge their iPhone 8 without wires. Nowadays wireless charging capability is pretty much a standard feature, but Pixel 2 still doesn’t feature the same. Google has given fast charging capabilities to its Pixel 2 allowing users to quickly add up to 25 percent battery life with a 10 to 20 minutes charge.

3. iPhone cameras have always been, and still are, the best

Apple has maintained its top position with the best quality smartphone cameras. A lot of people choose to buy phones after seeing the camera quality. It clearly means that camera is more important than anything for some users, and in this area, the iPhone 8 continues its supremacy.

In the iPhone 8, the primary optics feature a 12MP f/1.8 lens. The Pixel 2 also features a similar lens but with Apple’s faster processor and a new color filter, the quality of images taken by the iPhone 8 are better than the shots produced by the Pixel 2. Apple’s Deep Image Compositing makes photographs better.

4. More color-accurate display with True Tone technology

If you look at the technical specification sheets, you will find that the iPhone 8 features low PPI rating than the Pixel 2, but when it comes to real-world testing, the iPhone 8 is more color-accurate and sharp. The smartphone features True Tone technology. It is the technology Apple introduced in the iPad Pro.

With True Tone, the device automatically adjusts brightness and white balance of the display. It is based on ambient light which not only makes it more comfortable for readers but also delivers more natural pictures. So if you compare the iPhone 8 and Pixel 2 display quality, you will find that picture on the iPhone 8 is more color-accurate. On Android devices, there are some applications available for display calibration.

5. It’s feature-packed

iOS is great and if you belong to the Apple ecosystem then you’re pretty much comfortable with Apple’s tight software integration. While you can not customize the iPhone 8 in the ways Android users can customize the Pixel 2 by downloading a new launcher app, the good thing in iOS is that you won’t find so much useless stuff on the app store.

Most of the features and apps on Android are gimmicks, even the ones offered by leading smartphone manufacturers. The iPhone 8 and the entire Apple ecosystem is more about getting things done. If you are a Mac user, you can use iMessage on the desktop and you can also answer calls and stay updated with the other connected devices like an Apple Watch and iPad. So in many ways, Apple’s iPhone 8 is better than the Pixel 2, but there’s a tough competition between the Plus and XL models.

Moved from the iPhone to the Pixel 2 XL and easily best phone ever owned. You get the smoothness of iOS but Android which at this point is just a lot better than iOS.

On the chips moving forward that matter is the AI chips and the Google one is over 5 times more powerful than the Apple effort. The PVC does over 3 trillion operations a second and Apple 600 billion.
