(ThyBlackMan.com) The LG V20 successor, LG V30 is apparently making its way to store shelves a couple of months later this year. Reports suggest that the phone borrows its design from the company’s two smartphones LG’s V20 and LG G6. Just like its predecessor, the upcoming smartphone will feature dual display with a surprising change in the camera placement.

Details about the phone are scarce, but some curious tech enthusiasts have found a patient filed by LG which is apparently the upcoming smartphone LG V30. The most probable rumors about the phone suggest that the company is set to unveil the details of the successor of the V20 in September.

The LG V20 release helped the South Korean company achieve new heights, and more specifically in the US, the phone was highly successful. Because of this popularity the smartphone series has seen over the years, the launch of V30 is also much awaited. Its successors have already set the bar, so now everyone is looking forward to the launch of a new LG phone with some groundbreaking features.

The V20 arrived equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, and the latest chipset from the company is 835, which many smartphones, including the highly popular Samsung Galaxy S8 feature. There are chances that LG would want to follow the same path and LG V30 will be sporting a Snapdragon 835. But there are reports claiming that LG is not going the same route and the company is expected to come with top specifications that include higher RAM and multiple storage options.

When it comes to storage, the V20 comes in two options of 32GB and 64GB, and the phone sports a 4GB RAM. The device allows users to extend storage capacity with a microSD card up to 256GB. Do you feel that LG would want to go beyond the 4GB RAM limit and introduce LG V30 with a 6GB RAM option?

The LG V20 features a 3200mAh battery and there are chances that the company would give better battery life to its new phone. An improvement in battery power seems to be a fair deal with the upcoming smartphone. So, it can either be 3300mAh or higher. Just like the LG’s V20 smartphone, its successor will also come with two primary cameras and a rear camera.

The front cameras are expected to be at least 13 MP, as the V20 features a pair of a 16MP and an 8MP rear cameras, and a 5MP front facing camera. The front camera in the upcoming phone is expected to be better and more powerful.

The patient registered by LG suggests that the company is planning a surprising move this year with LG V20 successor. According to the images, the secondary display will remain on the phone, but on top of the display, there’s one front camera in the middle.

If you look at the V20, you will find that the front camera is located on the left side, just like many other smartphones. So, if the images are something to go by, we will see a big change in the design.

No matter how many changes LG brings in the upcoming phone, many of us still want the company not to ditch the removable battery option from the phone.

However, LG hasn’t said anything specific about the phone, but the arrival of the phone has already been acknowledged at Google I/O 2017 event. Google also didn’t share anything about the upcoming device, but it has confirmed that LG is launching its second flagship this year.

The LG V20 was unveiled in an event in September last year. So, if the company follows the same release pattern, there are chances that the company would want to introduce a new smartphone sometime around September or October. As far as the LG V30 release date is concerned, it can be between August and October 2017.

No mention is made of the sound features of the V30. The two most wonderful things about the V20: the four channel DAC sound system, and the removable battery. I love my V20.

Proud owner of a LG V20. With that I see no need to upgrade to the LG V30.
Sadly it seems these smartphone companies are all about the money. Every year – a new device is released.
