Prime Reasons to Consider the Apple AirPods Pro.

(ThyBlackMan.com) So the Apple AirPods Pro dropped last month at a price point of $250. They come with features that are standard for earbuds in 2019 but Apple has obviously worked on them to make improvements as needed. I mean, that would be sneaky but not entirely surprising if they just changed the design, added a few features, and kept it the same for the most part.

It’s how smartphones are dropped in a year’s time at the exact same each year. Hell, it’s how football and basketball video games are released each year. However, these AirPods Pro have a few things I’m really digging—which we will get into.

Apple Improved the Design

I like earbuds but I hate the chance of losing them and at $250 they can’t be lost period. The design has to be such that they’re only falling out of your ear due to significant trauma or being physically taken out. Apple worked on the design—probably with concepts and material to test—and came up with something that works.

This is really one of the better designs I’ve experienced for earbuds. I bang my head when listening to music and some buds just aren’t made of sterner stuff to stay in. The AirPods Pro will set up camp in your ears and take a little more to loosen and fall out. Bonus points here and this should’ve honestly been one of two main selling points.

Then again, Apple consumers tend to be the primary audience for AirPods Pro. Showcasing the design would be more of an effort to catch those who aren’t entirely sold on them or rock with another manufacturer’s earbuds.

A Tale of Two Modes

Moving up in features, the AirPods Pro come with two sound managing modes. The first is Active Noise Cancellation. Trying it out, it pretty much does what is on the tin. I heard just what I wanted to heard: my tunes. If someone was talking to me or had something important to say, I didn’t hear it because these earbuds had me in the zone.

Then you have Transparency Mode which allows you to hear the environment while audio is playing. It wasn’t necessarily weird but extremely useful. This is because the AirPods Pro have two microphones: inward facing and outward facing.

It’s the mics that allow for these modes to be used effectively and enhance your listening experience. While not directly related to these two modes, something else I like is that you can also use your assistant—Siri—and have messages and the like read through the AirPods Pro. I’m someone who uses my assistant all the time on Android so being able to do this.

Also, dope is being able to share the same audio source if you have your separate AirPods. There’s a lot going on with these earbuds.

Pair Your AirPods Pro With Apple Music

The sound quality is improved with these earbuds and even has a feature called Adaptive EQ which “tunes music to suit the shape of your ear.” Now, I couldn’t tell you if the sound is different for me and someone else because the shape of our ears is different.

I will say this: Apple Music with these AirPods Pro is an amazing experience. It’s a 50/50 effort between improved earbuds and Apple Music optimizing all music on the service and making it sound crisper. It’s the difference between listening to stuff on Apple Music then having a listen on Spotify or Pandora.

This is what you’re really going to want to use your AirPods Pro for most of the time. Yeah, you can enjoy movies and podcasts with them but using them at their most effective is a job for Apple Music.
