(ThyBlackMan.com) The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is finally here and Android fans should be thankful to Apple for not releasing the iPhone 8 because when the iPhone 8 arrives, it could badly crush the new Galaxy Note 8.

With shiny looks and powerful hardware, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 is ready to reach near you soon, and it’s the best smartphone we have seen till now. The massive 6.3-inch display easily kills the recently launched LG V30 in terms of looks. Samsung’s Note 8 ships with Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which is HDR10 compliance, and it features 3D Touch for Home button and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The power of 6GB of RAM, octa-core Snapdragon 835 (USA & China) processor, Quick Charge 2.0, and a non-removable 3300 mAh battery that supports wireless charging, make it the best smartphone available today. The biggest challenge for Samsung could be the iPhone 8. There are solid reasons behind why the new iPhone will likely beat Samsung Galaxy Note 8 when it launches because the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a slight improvement over the iPhone 7 Plus.

Both the smartphones come from different manufacturers and use different software. The iPhone 7 Plus is Apple’s best offering at present and Note 8 is Samsung’s. When compared, these devices feature many dissimilarities in their design and hardware, but surprisingly, the one-year-old phone from Apple beats Samsung’s latest offering when it comes to performance.

A video showcasing a performance-based comparison of the two phones shows how iPhone 7 Plus challenges Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 despite having only 3GB of RAM. RAM, of course, is not the only component that enhances performance in smartphones, comparing the two devices clearly shows how powerful the iOS and Apple’s processors are. Samsung has given 10nm mobile processor to Note 8 while the 7 Plus comes with an Apple A10 Fusion chipset.

Now when Apple is all set to bring A11 chipset with its new iPhone, it will more likely destroy Samsung’s Note 8. The tests that measure how quickly a user can get things done on these phones show that there’s a very slight difference in performance between the Note 8 and iPhone 7 Plus. Opening large files, compiling videos, launching web-based apps and games are pretty much similar on both the devices. However, Samsung beats the 7 Plus in some tests, while in a majority of tests, the one year old 7 Plus beats Samsung Note 8. If you’re doing less processor intensive work like texting, sending emails, or multitasking, you’re not going to notice any differences between the two devices.

The real advantage Apple’s devices have is they completely run on products developed at their own house. Apple does more with less because its iPhones use the company’s own processors and Apple also designs its own operating system for the devices. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with Snapdragon’s latest processor and as a result, it turns out to be a highly capable smartphone. It can handle everything super smooth, but if we look at the way Apple designs its chipsets, Samsung should fear because Apple is going to take a big step forward with A11 chipset this year. Most importantly, the device will get iOS 11, but Note 8 doesn’t even run the latest Android 8.0 Oreo. It still runs Nougat and it will most likely get the Android update by the year end.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Geekbench 4 test results show the device scored 1880 (Single-core score) and 6269 (Multi-core score) which is similar to the S8. On the other hand, the iPhone 8 with A11 chipset is said to have a Single-core score ranging between 4300 and 4600 while in Multi-core tests, it will likely stand between 7000 and 8500. The information comes from leaked reports, but if you look at the last year’s A10 chipset in the iPhone 7 Plus, its score for Single-core and Multi-core tests are 3509 and 5943 respectively. Given the results, it is very clear that Apple iPhone 8 will be a massive release and most probably it will again prove its edge over the rivals.
