(ThyBlackMan.com) Evelyn Lozada and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson were married in July of this year. The ink was barely dry on the marriage certificate before signatures were signed for divorce proceedings.
Chad “Ochocino Johnson and Evelyn Lozada were married this summer in what should have been a happily after marriage, but that seems to have turned into a nightmare.
The divorce proceedings came about when Evelyn Lozada accused her husband Chad Johnson of domestic violence. It was said that Chad Johnson allegedly head-butted Lozada at their home in David, Florida when she found a receipt for a box of condoms in his car.
According to Evelyn when Chad Johnson came home later that evening, Evelyn Lozada said she confronted him about the receipt. She threatened to leave him and then the assault occurred.
Evelyn Lozada has stated “And then the next thing I know, he grabbed me by here [pointing to her head] and he head-butted me.” She went on to say “I felt blood coming down my face and I looked at him and I said, “You just head-butted me? And it just — everything just felt if it was in slow motion.” Just two 
days after the incident, Evelyn Lozada filed for divorce, ending the couple’s 41-day “fairytale” marriage.
Chad Johnson was not ready and willing to agree to the divorce. In a desperate attempt to show his love for Evelyn Lozada, Ochocino tattooed his wife’s face on his leg. Well this over the top move to get his woman back did not work. It was all too little, too late.
In an interview with Nightline Evelyn Lozada, the estranged wife of the NFL player Chad Johnson, said she still loves her husband Chad more than anything, but she is afraid of him. She says that she believes that he needs to get help for his problems.
“It’s the hardest thing in the world to walk away from someone that you really love,” Evelyn Lozada told Nightline in an exclusive interview. “But you have to walk away because I have to protect myself.”
After attempts to reconcile and save his marriage Chad Johnson has accepted that his marriage with Evelyn is over. He eventually granted Lozada a divorce on last Wednesday, acknowledging that their union is irretrievably broken,” as reported by TMZ.
Evelyn Lozada stated that, ‘I’m never going to go through that again, ever. I don’t think any woman should ever have to feel like that or be fearful of her husband.”
Thank God that Evelyn Lozada is choosing to love herself enough to walk away from what could have been an ongoing, dangerous relationship.
Maybe in his next relationship, if such a thing is possible Chad Johnson will learn how to love, cherish, protect and love a woman the way she deserves, instead of causing her to live in fear.
