(ThyBlackMan.com) Some iPhone 8 Plus owners are facing issues with their new phone: during the call, the earpiece makes a crackling sound. The problem doesn’t exist on each device, but it is still bugging many phones. Fortunately, Apple has fixed the issue with the latest 11.1 developer beta. There’s still no information on when the update will be available for general public, but Apple confirmed that the team is working on a fix, which will be available with an upcoming software update.

There’s no clarity about why certain iPhone 8 Plus devices are affected. The problem is also reported by many iPhone 8 users. After the initial reports, it was believed that the problem occurs with some carriers, but later it was discovered that users on all the carriers are having the same issues. Finally, when Apple admitted that it is a glitch from the production side, it’s now clear that anyone using the phone can face this problem. Luckily, the problem remains with the device’s software and doesn’t signal faults in hardware.

Those who reported crackling sound problems suggest that they are not facing the issue with every single call, but it happens sometimes, which is obviously very annoying. The software problem is said to be fixed with the latest 11.1 developer beta, and here’s how you can download it.

In case if you do not want to get into technical stuff, you can just wait for the official public release of the next update. But those who are willing to eliminate the issue ASAP, here’s how you can download the 11.1 developer beta.

Before you download anything, make sure you have a developer account. Once after getting an account, you can download any iOS beta directly on your device. Once after setting up an account with Apple, you will see a download tab titled “Download new betas.” From this area, you can check and download the app software on your device. Once after completing the download, your phone will want to install the app. Hit the install button and enter your Passcode (if required). Now when your device is ready for the new update, go to Settings and choose the Update option under the General tab. Install the update and restart your iPhone 8 Plus.

You should remember a few things before performing any such operations. The first thing is – the update is available only for registered developers so in case if you are not a registered developer, you must get a working developer membership to download the update. The second thing you must remember is if you are already enrolled in the developer program, all you need to do is to perform this simple operation: Settings > General > Software Update. The most important thing you must consider is backing up your device. Taking a backup before you make any changes to the software is a wise and recommended practice. Taking a backup on the iPhone 8 Plus is simple and the process is the same as other iOS devices.

The update details are not known, but there are very high chances of some features coming with the upcoming update for the 8 Plus and other iOS devices. Some of the features including Apple Pay Cash and AirPlay 2 didn’t appear with the previous iOS 11 updates. The company has not given any timeframe for the release, but since the iPhone X launch is set to happen in November, so the update will most likely arrive anytime soon.

An iOS update 11.0.1 was released soon after Apple unveiled iOS with the iPhone 8 Plus a, but unfortunately, the update didn’t fix the crackling sound issues on the mobile phones. As per the reports, the upcoming update will fix the issues for all the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus users and there are chances that the update will bring some new features as well.
