( Did you know it is your right to think and become empowered? Did you know that the only quality you need to be successful is a sense of empowerment? Do you know the number one reason that most people fail is because they do not know they are empowered to succeed?

It’s true! Empowerment is a much-used word but a little-appreciated reality. To be empowered is to be given authority. I am empowered to succeed! I do not need to go and check on whether I can do this or that – I have authority!

Who gives me such authority? It’s a virtue consigned by the Divine! Empowered people think, move and conduct themselves in a certain way. Here are three things empowered people do.

Own the Unknown

When you’re finished changing, you’re finished, says Benjamin Franklin. Empowered people do not wait for change – they make it happen! For the empowered person, change is a necessary and welcome arrival. In fact, empowered people begin a ‘change wave’ in their lives because they know that behind every change is opportunity! Empowered people do not cower behind their fear of the unknown – they own the unknown! For this man or woman, life is not adding up the years to make them count toward retirement, but rather life is seizing the opportunities and shaping a brand-new future. Don’t tell the empowered man or woman they can’t achieve what they’ve set out to do; you’ll get a befuddled look because they don’t know the meaning of ‘can’t’.

Let Go of Grudges

Yet another dynamic quality of the empowered individual: they do not hold grudges! A very wise person said, Grudges are for those who insist that they are owed something; forgiveness, however is for those who are substantial enough to move on.

Empowered people know that the quickest way to crash-land is to hold a grudge; that trying to be successful while holding a grudge is both toxic and anti-thetical to right-thinking. Empowered people understand that for every step taken forward, holding a grudge represents five steps backward. It’s suicide on the installment plan! Empowered people just have to check the obituaries of those who failed at success and they will readily see the reason: they spent an inordinate amount of time and energy trying to outpace their foes.

See Success Where Others See Failure

This is the single dynamic quality which differentiates the empowered person from his or her peers: they have an uncanny ability to spot success in the most failed of circumstances. Why? Because they possess what is called a ‘success consciousnesses! The great orator Philippos once said, You may only succeed if you desire succeeding, you may only fail if you do not mind failing. Simple but powerful!

A success consciousness affords the holder a clairvoyance that others envy; they know success because they’ve had a taste of success and success tasted so good as to create a ravenous appetite for even more success.

Why does the empowered person see success where others see only failure? Because they have learned the delicate yet necessary art of extracting a positive from a negative. In short, failure has been their teacher and empowered people make for stellar graduates!

Decide and determine that you have been given the authority by the Almighty to think and become empowered – because you have!
