(ThyBlackMan.com) The Apple Watch Series 1 got mixed reaction from fans and industry analysts. But today, Apple’s smartwatch business is growing at a record rate. The sales is growing exceptionally and the current generation watches are selling at the highest rate ever. Now when the business is booming, there’s a huge anticipation as to what Apple is planning to bring in the next generation of the Apple Watch.

We have seen that the Apple Watch Series 1 models were not so different than the original ones. The second generation also couldn’t do anything more than just bringing an in-built GPS. But since then, the technology has gone too far and Apple, with its innovative ideas has made everyone believe that the Apple Watch Series 3 is going to bring groundbreaking changes no other smartwatch has ever brought.

The intensity of web rumors is high, so let us have a look at where we are heading to with the Series 3 after seeing a minor, processor related upgrade from the original Apple Watch to the Apple Watch Series 1 and 2.

The Series 3 is expected to bring micro LED display for the next gen smartwatches. Apple is reportedly planning to shift focus from the glass panel to a touch solution, based on glass film. The acquisition of LuxVue in 2014 is also being seen as a strong hint. Reports suggest that the company has delivered micro-LED solutions for electronic devices and Apple is apparently planning to use the technology in its upcoming watches.

If you look at the Watch Series 1 models, you will find that the company is still in love with square shaped watches. But according to reports, Apple is finally breaking the habit and the trend is soon going to be changed. It is being said that Apple will likely introduce round shaped smartwatches and will apparently ditch the square shape faces. It should be noted that the size and shape is something that makes Apple products stand out and sometimes, the square shape is the only reason why many consumers ditch the watch, especially females.

The Apple Watch Series 1 had to rely on phone pairing to get location access. The infrared powered heart rate monitor is also present in the watch, but according to recent reports, the upcoming smartwatches are going to include glucose monitor as well. Apple has not confirmed this feature, so it is better you take the rumor with a pinch of salt. The reports claim that the company is planning to do so, as it wants to expand its support for health related apps; and to fight diseases like diabetes, consumers will be able to get glucose monitoring feature in the next Apple Watch.

Several reports have already claimed that the Apple Watch Series 3 is heading towards 4G LTE support. However the claims have been dismantled by some analysts saying that it is not at all required at this point of time, but according to some, the upcoming watches will enable users to enjoy 4G LTE connectivity. For an instance, if we believe that Apple will introduce the Watch Series 3 with LTE connectivity, it is very obvious that the cost of the product will surely rise in a very significant way. For many customers who are just waiting to see the new smartwatch with improved battery life and support for more features, paying for 4G connectivity will be an unexpected burden and it’s really unpredictable that how the current smartwatch owners will react to this change. If Apple has decided to introduce LTE connectivity with Series 3, we expect that it will bring a non-cellular variant of the watch as well.

The Apple Watch Series 1 and 2 have seen tremendous growth and everyone has high hopes with the upcoming watches, it would be interesting to see how many of the fans’ predictions will turn out to be true.
