(ThyBlackMan.com) We can all agree that there is a blatant attack on the Black Family. Our Black Men are being effeminized, emasculated, their hips have more sway than the females and the females are walking harder than the men. This war that’s on the Black Family, is it intentional? It is by design? The answer to both is YES!
I listened to the following quote which sparked deep reflection which has now become this article.
“Kill who? Kill who? The Man and spare who? The Woman. You are growing up now in strength and power in America while the Black Man is getting weaker and weaker and soon the Black Man will not able to do nothing for you and then you will call for his destruction and the White Man will have you as the booty, the prize, for destroying your Black Man you become the prize.”
1. To reduce injure beyond repair or renewal; demolish; ruin; annihilate.2. To put an end to; extinguish.3. To kill; slay.4. To render ineffective or useless; nullify; neutralize; invalidate.5. To defeat completely.
Thank you Brother, like I have told you many times, I value your comments, your encouragement and support. You are appreciated!
Best quote of the day: “Unbeknownst to us, in the war against the Black Family, we as Black Women have become his best trained assassin.”
Deeply profound.
Anger is such a powerfully self-destrcutive force. Yet it’s also very seductive because it gives a false sense of empowerment. Akin to crack and coke. And equally addictive. If we can just get more sisters to break their addiction to anger; to stop holding onto their right to be angry; and to instead embrace peace, first in their own souls and from there outwardly to the world…if we can do this, then the eyes of more sisters will open and they’ll see the path to their own elusive happiness.
Keep doing what you do Nojma. It’s having an effect. Don’t let the negative ones deter you for one second. Onward, ever onward…
Peace Original Man! Your support and encouragement is greatly appreciated!
Peace Queen excellent writing as i’ve always enjoyed your articles. I just pray that our sistas take heed to the message you are giving.
@Sankofa thank you Brother all I can do is bring the light, but it is up to the individual to step out of the darkness. I am headed to my inbox now, I can’t wait! You always send the best info!
Lol..i was wondering.
I have always maintained that African people are collectively the greatest trauma victim in his-story and our story. We have never had therapy and have been refused such. Whether it is reparation, the right to a portion of land allocated through the 40 acres and a mule fable or even when we decided to pull ourselves up by the boot strap as preached by Booker T. This last was evident in the destruction of Black wall street. For us as a people to think that we can go it alone separate from each other, when the enemy is destroying us as a collective is insanity.
Cevennes’s reply is self evident of our mental and emotional illness and how it infects our children and their children. All you can do is bring right knowledge Nojma, because truth is consistent despite all the opinions of womem and men who are damaged and refuse to get therapy.
As usual I am sharing this information with my female associates who thankfully love your information and has created space for further dialogue. Why the female? Well as Miriam Makeba once said…a woman can make a man do anything she wants, she just has to know what she is doing.
Thanks for another wonderful piece and I am going to send you some things I collected yesterday.
peace and blessings
Ummm on facebook those turn into hearts LOLOL 🙂
Peace Queen Natalie <3<3<3<3 thank you Sis!
Great one sis. Nojma!
@Cavennes where in my article did I say it’s “ALL the fault of women”? In fact, what I said was; “Does the current condition of the Black Family rest solely on the shoulders of the Black Woman? Of course not. It will take BOTH the Black Man and Woman to repair the broken hearts, the mistrust, the frustration, the rejection, the disrespect, the mistreatment and the hurt we have done to one another.” So where is the basis of your comment stemming from?
Really? REALLY? Of course! It’s all the fault of women! And all the time, the answer was staring us right in the face.
Thank you Sis! I pray all is well with you!
This article is hot! Thanks Nojma!
