(ThyBlackMan.com) Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 release date is still unconfirmed but the good news is the game is coming for sure. It’s really a commendable job by Ubisoft in breathing life into the original game which was almost dead. Today, The Division is in a position that many players have zero complaints. Now when we have seen how talented the developers are, expectations are rising and here are 5 things we expect The Division 2 to do better than the original game.

1. Expand

Ubisoft did almost everything to make sure that The Division franchise meets fans’ expectations. However, despite all the improvements and fixes, and a strong storyline, the missions still don’t push the story forward. The gameplay is surrounded by many unanswered questions.

We don’t know much about the origin of the Division organization, we are still clueless about the impact on other areas and when the city will fully recover from the virus. Hopefully, The Division 2 will open the doors for new chapters or probably a completely new city.

2. Anti-cheat

Many waves of bans have gone out and Ubisoft has put many measurements to stop cheats in The Division. The Dark Zone is one of the most important areas in the game but unfortunately, it needs to address some serious issues including balancing and cheats.

Massive has already worked on fixing many parts of the Dark Zone but players are still suspicious about the fairness of gameplay. With The Division 2 release, Ubisoft can do a lot better to implement strict gameplay rules and by implementing better anti-cheat technologies.

3. Realistic Damage

The Division 2 must make more sense in terms of weapon damage. Unfortunately, in The Division, we had to see enemies are completely bullet-sponges. This type of character behavior destroys the joy of realism. Ubisoft has paid attention to details and everything from a dustbin to wall corner looks so realistic when you shoot at them, but some enemies and objects don’t behave in the same way.

It reminds me of the Far Cry game where you had to empty an entire clip just to kill a single enemy who doesn’t even wear a body armor. The Patch 1.8 for The Division fixed many such issues but Ubisoft still needs to work on this part and should further develop it in The Division 2.

4. In-depth Customization

In The Division, customization of weapons is limited to magazines, scopes, barrels and several other attachments. In The Division 2, developers should make it more extensive. Increasing the limits of how much a player can customize a weapon will surely allow players to play in their own style.

It will not only help players deal with certain enemies in their own ways, it will surely make combats more interesting because different players will be having different customizations for their weapons. Customization options can also touch the gears and armor part as well.

5. Underground Can Be Bigger

The game developer Massive needs to add more procedurally generated missions in The Underground. Currently, the player base simply finishes off the game and complains about replaying the same missions and side quests. There’s still much scope for further development in The Underground and if the developer expands the concept, players will be having so much more to explore and spend time on.

Massive can add a creator mode where players can design their own missions and set new challenges for their friends. Having a community-based creation tool will not only give players tonnes of content, it will easily keep them hooked.

The Division 2 will run on an improved version of the Snowdrop engine and Massive has also confirmed there will be a new achievement called Shield. For more details, players will have to wait until E3 2018 when the company will likely announce The Division 2 release date.
