He also led his team to drub Mater Dei, which was ranked nationally, 51-47, when they played for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Division state title. He awarded the Division II player of the Year of California. He averaged 15.1 points, 7.1 assists, 5.0 steals, and 6.2 rebounds.

He had never got an athletic scholarship to college. This was attributed mainly to his ethnicity. He ended joining Harvard. He played so well that he was in the first Ivy League team in his last two years in college.

After college, he still had difficult being picked by the top NBA teams, until the New York Knicks picked him. He spent several games on the bench before he took the world by storm on February 2012. During a match against Brooklyn Nets, he scored 25 points, sending his team to victory.

In a match against Los Angeles Lakers, Jeremy Lin earned more points than the Legendary Kobe Bryant. In less than two week he changed from an unknown athlete to an international NBA star. He appeared in several magazines and a replica of his No. 17 Jersey became a top seller.

Jeremy Lin signed a 3 year/ $36 million contract with Brooklyn Nets. Average salary 12,766,667 per year.
