(ThyBlackMan.com) Donald Trump should be thankful to the protestors who shut down his rally on Friday in Chicago. Their actions ended up boosting support for him – even among some Democrats. The protestors, or rather, Bernie Sanders recruits, snuck into the University of Illinois auditorium disguised as Trump supporters.
They came with one purpose in mind: to incite Trump supporters into violence by calling them racist. Why? So the mainstream would do the same, regardless of the facts. And that’s exactly what happened.
The news coverage blanketed Donald Trump with blame even though he cancelled the event at the last minute, fearful that people would be harmed.
Meanwhile the Bernie Sanders supporters, who caused the violence, were held blameless.
How do I know Sanders supporters were responsible? My friend,
whom I will simply call Marie and who lives in the Chicago area, attended the rally with her teenage daughter. She told me what she saw.
Marie took her 14-year-old daughter out of school early to stand in line ?at 1:30pmCT to hear Donald Trump speak that evening, almost five hours ahead of time.
Marie’s daughter’s teachers had been Trump-bashing in the public school she attends, so Marie was determined to have her daughter judge for herself – by attending a rally and hearing Trump directly.
Two hours into the wait, Marie said she got seats 25 feet from the stage. Throughout the afternoon I received excited texts and photos.
Marie is a white 50-year-old independent voter. She’s also one of those folks “without a college degree” that the GOP Establishment likes to mock. A real estate agent, who lost everything when the market tanked in 2011, but rebuilt her business selling bank-owned foreclosed properties. Marie turned to hard work and determination to get herself back in her feet, not handouts and food stamps. The Trump rhetoric appealed to her.
With so many people waiting for so long, when it was then announced that Trump would NOT be speaking after people, Marie reported that it was like igniting “an emotional bomb” inside the building.
Protestors, made up of college students and adults under 30 years of age, revealed themselves as Bernie supporters. “They went crazy,” she said, “chanting things like ‘Go home this is our school’ and ‘Fuck Trump.’ ”
Describing the scene as a “well planned ambush,” Marie recalled that the protestors ripped Trump signs out of hands and provocatively tore them into pieces.
Fights starting to break out, as the heckling of Trump supporters continued. And so frightened for her daughter’s safety, Marie asked a security guard for help. She was pointed towards the nearest exit.
Upon reaching the parking lot, Marie found protestors blocking the exit. As she waited, Marie saw three or four Asian teenage boys, visibly shaken and afraid. They, like so many others, had come, peacefully, to hear Trump speak and found themselves in the middle of a virtual riot.
Next morning when I spoke to Marie, she told me she was still upset at what she had seen and by the fact that the media distorted the facts. “I really need to talk to you to help me wrap my mind and heart around what I experienced last night. The rally protesters were so evidently there only to disturb a peaceful event. My daughter actually went to the rally as a Bernie supporter – she left FIGHTING for Trump. I had to hold her back 15 times,” Marie said.
Unfortunately, neither the liberal nor conservative mainstream media are not reporting Marie’s story or others like it, or the fact that Donald Trump cancelled his appearance out of concern for everyone’s safety. Buried in a lengthy Washington Post article, there was a brief mention that Trump’s campaign plays an audio recording before his rallies telling supporters not to harm protestors.
It’s interesting that Donald Trump is the only candidate who has supporters of Democrat presidential candidates consistently disrupting his events. When will Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton be held accountable by the media for encouraging this violence through their silence assent?
Americans are angry indeed that the country has become intolerant of free speech and political correctness. Words to the unwise: if you don’t want Trump to win, stop pulling stunts like Chicago. It only emboldens people to show even more fervent support for him.
