(ThyBlackMan.com) Jay Z and Beyonce are one married couple that are constantly in the news, especially since their marriage. On April 4, 2008 Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) exchanged wedding vows cloaked in secrecy surrounded by close friends and family at Jay Z’s glamorous penthouse.
Jay Z and Beyonce are known to be very private when it comes to their love life so it was no surprise that the marriage was very secretive. Even the media hounds were not privy to the wedding ceremony.
Jay Z the millionaire businessman and rapper and Beyonce Knowles the actress and Grammy award winner have appears to have a chemistry that works for them. The question is what is the secret to their success thus far? 
Even though they have only been married for nearly three years (a lifetime by Hollywood standards) things seem to be going well. When other Hollywood couples black or white separate at the drop of a hat, they are still together.
However, like many couples there have been struggles. Jay Z and Beyonce have dealt with rumors, which is to be expected, when you are well-known celebrities. Through a number of tabloid stories, in the past Jay Z was supposedly sighted hanging out with back up dancers and models during a rough patch of the couple’s marriage. Jay Z and Beyonce had even lived separately at one point with Jay Z in LA. and Beyonce in New York.
There has been gossip that Jay Z and Beyonce were on the verge of ending it all because of their disagreement of when to start a family. Supposedly at the time Jay Z was eager to have children and Beyoncé was busy focusing on her career. In 2008 Beyonce let it be known that she was not ready to be a mother.
Well that subject can now be laid to rest with the birth of their first child. Baby Blue Ivy or Ivy Blue depending on what you read and when you read it was born this past January. Even that joyous occasion was tarnished by the tabloids. We all know that story. The drama of Beyonce’s alleged fake pregnancy and the uproar of their baby’s arrival and chaos occurring at the hospital. And who can forget the conspiracy surrounding Blue Ivy’s name. Come on people The Illuminati connection. Really?
Even with all of the drama surrounding Jay Z and Beyonce’s life, they seem to be taking it all in stride. Regardless of what the naysayers are yapping about they are still one of the most solid and powerful couples, black or white in the industry.
Let’s just hope their love last as long as other great Hollywood couples. Maybe they will join the ranks of Bill and Camille Cosby, Ossie and Ruby Davis, Denzel and Pauletta Washington.
