(ThyBlackMan.com) When I wrote and posted the poem An Edifice Complex, I wanted to present a truth in a parabolic way – allowing the reader to experience a revelation in their own time as they digested the words for themselves.

Well, I’ve been directed to make it plain today! I want to state it simply: Peter is NOT the rock of the Church – the revelatory Word of God is! This means that the papal lineage is falsely based on a misinterpretation of Jesus’ words. This means that the Pope is another man-made position created out of a lack of faith.

Since we can’t see God for ourselves, we’d rather have a person who is slated as the vessel of God to carry out the mission of God… but we don’t need that if we are truly acting on Hebrews’ definition of faith as “the substance of things hoped for” and “the evidence of things not seen.”

This means that the spiritual power of the Pope is a power that we all have access to since we are ALL the Church – a called out body of people. We, as the “ekklesia,” have been called out of the world as an assembly of those governed by the Holy Spirit. WE are the temple that the Holy Spirit dwells in now.

This means that the earthly power the Pope is afforded is falsely established and incorrectly delegated. Open the door, people – the WORD of the LORD is in the BUILDING!:
