(ThyBlackMan.com) Despite people’s best efforts, sports have always been political and will always be political. There is perhaps no better example of that than the Olympics, where countries send their best athletes to compete on an international stage and attempt to show their athletic superiority over their international counterparts. There is plenty of flag waving, national anthem playing, and political figures from across the world can easily be found viewing Olympic events in person.
Paris, France was the host for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games and there were plenty of moments on the field, court, and in the water that spoke for more than athletic results. There can always be lessons learned and derived from sports and this year’s Summer Olympics were no exception. Here are some of the top stories of the 2024 Summer Olympics with words of wisdom from legendary African revolutionaries that can be applied to that situation, event, or commentary:
-Basketball legend LeBron James and tennis star Coco Gauff represented Team USA as flag bearers at Paris Olympics. Both have excelled in their respective sports and have been outspoken and active over the years regarding issues of race affecting Black people in the U.S. A quote that sums up those two being Team USA flag bearers comes from Black Panther Party for Self-Defense founder Huey P. Newton, “Too many so-called leaders of the movement have been made into celebrities and their revolutionary fervour destroyed by mass media. The task is to transform society; only the people can do that – not heroes, not celebrities, not stars. A star’s place is in Hollywood; the revolutionary’s place is in the community with the people.”
–Congolese boxer Marcelat Sakobi makes gesture in reference to imperialist violence in the DRC. Following her Olympic boxing match in which she lost, Sakobi got emotional and started crying but then threw her hand across her mouth while pointing two fingers to her head, in a gesture that signifies that people are being killed in Democratic Republic of Congo. The DRC has long been looted by Western imperialists and their funded rebels to take the vast natural resources in its area. African revolutionary Malcolm X’s analysis of the Congo included, “This was mass murder in the Congo, of women and children and babies. But there was no outcry even from the white liberals, even from your friends.”
-U.S. black athletes throw shade at other African athletes. One of the surprises during the Olympics was the South Sudan men’s basketball team having a competitive game against the star-studded U.S. men’s basketball team. Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas had some very ignorant and xenophobic public messages about the close loss to South Sudan. Another example of a U.S. born athlete not realizing his African heritage, Baltimore Ravens football player Marlon Humphrey’s social media post criticizing U.S. gymnasts Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles deciding to show their respect by bowing to Brazil’s gold medalist, Rebeca Andrade at the medal podium. Like most Africans born in the U.S., propaganda keeps them from identifying with Africans on the continent and throughout the African diaspora. Pan-African leader and former president of Ghana Kwame Nkrumah said, “All people of African descent, whether they live in North or South America, the Caribbean, or in any part of the world are Africans and belong to the African nation.”

A very well written article and straight to the point about the real facts of African Americans been use in sports, entertainment etc. for political reasons. We have witness how they use a former, gang member, drug dealer, rapper and now business entrepreneur Snoop Dog to carry the Olympic torch, they use fatherless black boys, men and girls to carry the flag of Racism, discrimination, double standards prejudice, replacement theory also known as the America Flag to give a sense to the world and to the African American community that we are equal and that America is good; but n reality it is a lie and a fairy tale of racist white America who constantly speaks with a fork tongue.
America will always try their best to separate the black community in America from other black communities around the world because they clearly understand that if all black people from around the world united for the greater good then we will have the power and the strength to fight back and take back what is ours to include kicking out all racist Europeans and Caucasians from the continent of Africa. We all know, that racist America and the European Union are the masters of colonialism and imperialism who for the last 400 years have destroyed, robbed, killed, raped, manipulated, kidnaped, stolen and colonized every nation belonging to black people and they have make it their agenda to keep Africa in a state of chaos, poverty, destruction etc.. with the sole purpose of controlling all the natural resources in Africa that the white men needs to continue its world domination.
Remember the white men and white women of America are infected with the disease of madness, insanity, insecurity, fear and the shortcoming of having small private parts and they will use that as a reason to control and manipulated the mainstream media into portraying black people as threat in order to justify their own inferiorities. With that said, All African Americans and black around the world must understand that white people are not our friend and they will never be our friend because they understand that in order for the white population to remain onto and in charge that they must support each other in keeping the blacks and other minority groups in check and in a state of economical and financial depression and castration ; in order to prevent black people around the world from rising against the children of their former slave masters.
I am urging all black people around the world and in America to stay together, to support each other, to invest in motherland Africa, to put your money in black owned banks and credit unions, to spend your money in black owned businesses, to send your kids to black private schools and HBCU;S, to support N.F.A.C , to join NAAGA which stands for the national African American Gun Associations, to married your own black people, to stop purchasing alcohol and tobacco products which are contaminated with cancer producing chemicals, to stop doing drugs, to stop socializing and hanging out with white people, to stop moving into white neighborhoods. etc.. More so, I am asking black people to prepared themselves and be ready to fight and defend your community against any onslaught from racist white people and or racist Hispanics who are actually worst than white people when it comes to racism and discrimnation.
I am asking all African Americans and black around the world to exercise your right to bear and owned arms, every black men, women and LGBT must proceed to legally purchase guns, rifles, shotguns, ammunitions, Kevlar helmets, body armored, survival food and first aid kid in order to prepared us for this upcoming November election in America and to prepare all black people around the world to fight and kicked all racist colonial and imperialism children’s of the slave masters from our African lands.
Remember, the white Democrats are constantly telling black people to get rid of guns; while telling all the white and Caucasian Americans to increase their amount of guns at their homes. More, so, our government have pass bills protecting every other community such as the covid Asian hate crime and Hispanics prosperity act; but they have not giving anything to black people that is specific and tangible to the prosperity and economical success of all African Americans. Yes, White people have told Asians and Hispanics to purchase as many guns in order to defend themselves from black people. So, think about it black people, because we are at war with every race in America and around the world for which we must stay together and united in order to fight these demonic entities
Thomas Sankara would have seen the 2024 Olympics as a celebration of self-reliance. African nations competed fiercely, embodying his dream of a self-sufficient, proud continent.
