(ThyBlackMan.com) While Huawei’s best smartphones Huawei P9 and Mate 10 positioned Huawei among the world’s most innovative smartphone makers, Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones are taking the company closer to its dream of being the world’s largest smartphone brand by 2020. Huawei is also fighting the bad reputation “Made in China” products have gained over the years, and the smartphone maker is doing it very well.
Huawei is one of the strongest smartphone makers in China and if we look at the sales figures, Apple and Samsung should be worried about it. Huawei shipped 30 million smartphones in its home country in the first quarter of 2019. The company introduced Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro this year with high hopes and these smartphones are doing really well in different markets around the world. Let’s have a look at what these phones have to offer.
Huawei P30 – A nice phone that misses a few tricks
In 2016, Huawei introduced the first smartphone co-engineered with Leica sporting a dual-lens rear camera. Now, with the Huawei P30, the company has upped the game. The smartphone comes with three impressive rear cameras making this setup the shining star of the smartphone camera tech. The P30 comes in a glass back design with five colors to choose from. A 6.1-inch OLED display looks bright and on top of it sits a small notch for the impressive 32MP camera. The screen is capable of delivering 2340×1080 pixels display resolution and the latest available tech inside makes it fast and extremely powerful.
The specification sheet for the Huawei P30 suggests that the phone runs Android 9 Pie. The smartphone comes equipped with Kirin 980 with Dual NPU. It should be noted that Huawei was the first smartphone company to introduce a phone with a dedicated AI chip. Coupled with 6GB of RAM, the 128GB storage won’t feel less as the phone also supports external memory through a nano-memory card.
The 3,650mAh battery is powerful enough to last full day on a single charge. The phone also supports 25W fast charging but lacks wireless charging. The only things which go against Huawei P30 are EMUI and Huawei’s own P30 Pro smartphone, which is better than the P30 in many areas.
Huawei P30 Pro – Something more than the best smartphone camera
One thing that you’ll love the most about the Huawei P30 Pro is its quad camera system which is superb. It is also the world’s first phone with quad Leica camera system. You may have heard a lot about how great this camera system is which comprises a 40MP SuperSpectrum wide angle, 20MP wide angle, 8MP Periscope, and a time-of-flight camera. The front-facing camera on both the P Series phones is the same 32MP shooter.
The Huawei P30 Pro runs Android 9 Pie and is powered by the same Kirin 980 chip with Dual NPU support. The major changes come in the form of memory and storage. The P30 Pro offers 8GB of RAM with three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Huawei has set a new standard with the P30 Pro’s camera and has literally pushed the boundaries of what smartphones can do for those who prioritize camera performance above everything. But this is not the only area where the Huawei P30 Pro stands out, the phone also has some very interesting features that make it one of the best smartphones you can buy right now.
Huawei’s new smartphone has a very good battery life, thanks to its 4,200mAh battery. The phone also supports quick charge and wireless charging. Interestingly, there’s an in-screen call speaker on the OLED and the fingerprint sensor also sits under the display. The Huawei P30 Pro is an IP68 certified dust and water resistant phone, but the glass body feels slippery, so you have to be very careful with it, especially when you’re out.
While the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro aren’t being sold (officially) in the United States, you can still purchase and use them as these phones support 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. Yes, you read it right, 5G is missing here as none of these phones support 5G. Huawei P series phones are focused more on camera technology, but the next Huawei Mate series phone could be the one with 5G support.
