(ThyBlackMan.com) When speaking to Abram, as documented in Genesis 12:3, the Lord said, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” That sounds pretty simple, right? Evidently, not simple enough for President Obama and the haughty John Kerry who sounds like he belongs in a Grey Poupon mustard commercial. No offense, Teresa Heinz.
Did you know there really is no Palestine? No, seriously. In fact, there’s never been Arab, Muslim or Palestinian land to ever exist on the land we call Israel today. Did you know that both Jews and Arabs were conveniently called Palestinians before the 1947 U.N. General Assembly (UNGA) Resolution 181 Partition Plan that came to fruition in the spring of 1948? That year, the territory we now call Palestine was to be fairly divided between the Jews and the
Palestinians – a “two-state solution.”
The Jews accepted the “Partition Plan.” Arabs and Muslims did not. And, just a day after the British left the territory, and in clear defiance of Resolution 181, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Jordan attacked the new and tiny country of Israel only to be defeated in what the Arab League calls “a war of annihilation.” Since then, “Palestinians” have rejected numerous attempts by the U.N. and Israel to create a two-state solution in the Middle East. The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) founding document reads: “The partition of Palestine in 1947 and the establishment of the state of Israel are entirely illegal, regardless of the passage of time. …”
If you’re not a Christian or Jew I don’t expect you to understand or adhere to biblical orthodoxy. However, you should know that the Bible does provide great context about the struggles in the Middle East today. Context is important when you consider the Obama administration’s betrayal of our greatest ally in the Middle East last week. America’s abstention at the United Nations Security Council (basically a yes vote) last week, which could potentially end Israeli settlements on the West Bank, was shameful, petty and desperate. The approved resolution will make it illegal for Israelis to pray on their own Western wall. If you’re like me, you’re asking yourself: How could the outgoing president make such a boneheaded decision? Here are a few reasons:
- President Obama wants to undermine the incoming Trump administration.
- Democrats once again hope to set a narrative in preparation for the 2018 midterm elections that they’re amiable with the entire international community while Republicans and Israelis are warmongers. The left will say the “world was much better off when President Barack Obama was in office.”
- President Barack Obama is so petty he’s willing to use Israel as a whipping boy in order to distract Americans from his own foreign policy that led to the displacement and slaughter of millions of Iraqis and Syrians, the birth of ISIS, and the failure of the Russian reset.
In just a few weeks President Obama’s legacy efforts in the White House will all be for naught. Obamacare will be a thing of the past. The Supreme Court and lower courts, Lord willing, will be enhanced with constitutionalists. Consumer confidence, now that he’s leaving the White House, is as high as it’s been in over 10 years! So, it’s no wonder the president is grasping for straws when it comes to foreign policy! Beyond pardons, foreign policy is all that’s left in the president’s arsenal. Given the Democrats’ devastating defeat on Nov. 8, President Barack Obama won’t be leaving with a “mic-drop.” Let’s just pray that he leaves behind a world in peace.
