(ThyBlackMan.com) Apple says it has a watch for everyone. But it’s not completely true, and that’s why we are waiting for the Apple Watch Series 4 release. In the last three years, Apple launched three generations of its smartwatch products. The first generation watch appeared in 2015, and after a year, we saw Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2 in 2016. This year, Apple released the Watch Series 3 and if the company follows the same release pattern, we can expect to see a new Series 4 watch in September 2018.

With a priority on performance, the latest smartwatch from Apple brings built-in LTE cellular connectivity and it also offers both data and voice communication. Some features such as improved Apple Music streaming, long battery life, and updated apps make it the best choice for those who can’t wait to buy a new smartwatch, and those who are still using the Series 1 watch and want to upgrade. So what will the Apple Watch Series 4 smartwatch be able to do? Read on to see the possibilities.

Performance

Apple claims that the S3 series watches are 70% faster than the S2 series products. For the Apple Watch Series 4, sources are claiming that Apple will go for a different circuit board. The company will probably use liquid crystal circuit boards in the upcoming smartwatch. If it happens, we can surely expect a boost in performance. Apple has done its best in terms of battery life. The Watch Series 3 gives 18 hours of backup after a full charge. It means that those who hardly use GPS and LTE can make their Apple Watch last for two days. But those who are using GPS and LTE can’t leave their charger for a long time. With a new watch, if Apple offers improved battery life, adding a little weight and size won’t be a painful compromise.

Connectivity

With the new board, Apple can effectively address connectivity issues. Those who don’t prefer taking their phone everywhere will be able to enjoy faster connectivity. Apple Watch 3 gives you the freedom to keep your iPhone away and receive emails, notifications, but the biggest problem is keeping your phone up. No matter how far your phone is, your watch needs to be connected to your phone either with LTE or Wi-Fi. For many users, this is not a very big deal, but others really want complete freedom. LTE users who pay a monthly charge for the service, at least they should get the freedom to access internet-based content on their Apple Watch without having to worry about the status of their iPhone. The Apple Watch Series 4 should bring a solution for this problem.

Android Support

Cross-platform compatibility is one of the reasons why some people choose Fitbit over Apple Watch. For Apple, allowing Android compatibility for the Apple Watch is risky. It is very clear that if Android users could use the product, Apple will surely see a rise in sales. But Apple is also fearful about the chances of people leaving its ecosystem. If Apple brings Android compatibility on its smartwatch with the Watch Series 4, the device would be the first choice of many non-iPhone users.

Built-in Camera

None of the existing Apple watch models feature a camera, but there is a possibility of a design change. Apple has filed patent applications for a wearable device that has a camera into its top bezel. If reports are something to go by, a built-in camera can find its way to Apple’s smartwatch product line. Some reports claim that Apple will add a front-facing camera for FaceTime, while others suggest that the company will offer video call facility for those who don’t always want their phone to accompany them.

More Sensors, Improved Software

With the Watch Series 3, the tech giant has greatly improved the features of the watch. But accuracy still remains a concern. There are chances that Apple will include more sensors and the software will also get some user-friendly enhancement when the Watch Series 4 arrives.
