(ThyBlackMan.com) Raven-Symone, the popular child artist whom the audience knew best as her character, Olivia Kendall on The Cosby Show, when she was only 3, had officially declared her retirement from the Television 2 years back. She has been trying to make her foot in the music industry since 1993, with some success, but her retirement from Television, where she started as a child artist, was not actually going well with the fans; and now we can safely say, for her too.

After Raven-Symone declared her retirement, she got admitted in the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and was out of the industry for some months. However, she got back quickly to projects like the Empire of Fox, which is currently enjoying a great deal of popularity amongst the viewers. Her quick getting back to television after declaring retirement officially was obvious to raise eyebrows, raven-symone-Watermelondrea-black-ghetto-names-the-view-2015but she justified her act saying that she had to take up the project to “pay her bills”.

However, now it seems that it is not only the Fox’s project that Raven-Symone had to take up to “pay her bills” as she also accepted the offer of co-hosting The View in June. Taking up the later project took her completely out of her self-declared retirement which did not last for more than a few months.

Let us take a look at how Raven-Symone has justified her getting back to television so soon. She said, that she was perfectly fine with the school and without a career, but the love and family type of affection that she enjoyed during The View, has made her to decide to get back to the TV permanently. Well, not to say the least, there is hardly anyone who is buying her words and she has attracted a lot of comments due to her all so un-thought declarations that seem to be just like stunts for getting in the news.

Career

After debuting in 1989 as a child artist, Raven-Symone went on to release her debut album in 1993, which charted at number 68 on the US Billboard Hot 100. She made repeated appearances in many successful TV series during 1980s and 1990s. In the span 2003 to 2007, she became a common face in Disney Channel productions.

Raven-Symone has also tried her luck in the film career with films like Dr. Dolittle, College Road Trip, Revenge of the Bridesmaids and others. She has been guest hosting a number of TV shows before being in the full time project of The View.
