(ThyBlackMan.com) Are you really satisfied with your life? If you’re like most of us, sometimes you are and sometimes nothing feels right about it. Our day to day feelings impress us more than we think. If we’re feeling good, then we think better thoughts. If we’re down or discouraged, it may take a lot to pep us up.
Prayer can help us with this. God has an awesome love that we can drift in, relaxed and be comfortable. When we do this, there’s no way we can continue to feel bad. But if we’re stubborn and don’t pray, how can God help us? He still loves us but we can refuse his help and his love.
Sometimes we secretly want to feel miserable. During these times, we like it. This is a self righteous attitude that tells us that we have a right to feel anyway that we want to. We do have rights but this attitude can hurt us. For instance we can get hooked on it and continue to think unclearly.
Feeling sorry for ourselves never helps us. It lets us give in to selfishness. It only serves to soothe our ego but it doesn’t get to the root of any of our problems. We can grow to enjoy self pity.
When we’re feeling sorry for ourselves, we don’t have the energy of the time to think about anyone else. We think we are the one that is more important. It’s a destructive habit that can grab us and it can be hard to shake off. The point is that we must do it, to live a good Christian life. Self pity is a negative state of mind that requires self discipline. As Christians we need to discipline ourselves.
The world definitely has a lack of self discipline. You can see it in the monstrosities that people impose on each other. This goes on between nations, cultures, races, communities and individuals. Sadly, it is the way of the world. True, we do have to live in the world but we do not have to act the way it does. Our world should be governed by God. We have to try to be good citizens but we should do this because we love God.
As Christians we cannot be satisfied by what world has to offer us. Being satisfied implies that you are happy and content. Only God can give us this kind of satisfaction. I believe inside, that we all know this but we can get off the track.
Satisfaction is a word that implies a lot of things. Among them feeling peaceful, fulfilled, contented, being able to see clearly and still be comfortable even if things aren’t perfect. All of these are spiritual qualities that we develop by belief in love and God. They do not depend on material conditions. They depend on our faith and devotion. These are unpopular concepts in the world. The world’s concepts seem to be to grab what you can and when you can and for as long as you can. Never mind who gets hurt. Just look after yourself.
Unfortunately in some countries, people have to live this way. It’s sad. This is not the way it’s supposed to be. As Christians, this is not acceptable. We are our brother’s keepers in a spiritual way. We need to think of each other.
Being satisfied comes from the ability to rise above our problems, with the help of God of course and seeing a greater truth. That truth is our life. And that truth is what keeps us satisfied. Being satisfied in the Lord is quite different than any other satisfaction that we can have. We need to pray that the Lord is satisfied with us. This should be our most important goal. We can only be satisfied completely, in a loving relationship with God.

When I was a sinner, I had faith in God and it went absolutely nowhere. We are not to have faith in God but the faith which comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, Romans 10:17. Jesus’ words are spirit and life John 6:63. We to have the faith that comes from Jesus Christ, the Son of God and his words from the Gospel of Christ. Everybody is so busy trying to please God and they can never do it because they reject his Son, Jesus Christ and his words. Without the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and his words in you, no man can obtain God or obtain the knowledge of who God is and how to please him. Big deal people believe in God and have faith in him, so does the devil James 2:19. Devils tremble at the sight of one God while mankind just perverts and does not tremble. When Christ is in you, then you can finally have access to God the Father through the Son. Mankind is dead in their sin and trespasses because we were told through vain deceit and lies that we are coming to God in the churches by playing church Hollywood style when, in reality, we are coming to the devil. The church has made believe that we are holding unto God’s hand when, in reality, we are holding unto the devil’s hand dead in sin and trespasses. It pays to sin; it pays to serve the devil, your wages or payment is called death (hell fire and brimstone) Romans 6:23. Unless mankind wants to repent and be born of the spirit of God in Christ, God will not hear the prayer of sinners John 9:31.
When you have faith in the words of the bible, sin, and unrighteousness will disappear as righteousness, holiness, perfection, and sanctification of the word comes in. The devil and Jesus do not sleep in the same bedroom as all sin is of the devil 1st John 3:8. I am an ex-sinner saved by grace and no longer a sinner saved by grace as a sinner is not saved Romans 6:18. When the words of God spoken by his Son Jesus Christ and came down from the Holy Ghost comes in you, then you have to depart from iniquity especially the churches as they are keeping you there as the preacher does not want to lose you as he/she has you in their pocketbook and you are their merchandise. The reason why churches are still around we have denominations is because they are nothing but tares nothing but a strong delusion to believe a lie to be dammed with when you do not receive the love of the truth 2nd Thess 10-12. We have to come out from among them and seperate from them ungodly and unbelieving Sunday school churches that are just perverting the faith of the bible words by their actions. The pastor behind the pulpit does not truly love Jesus Christ; otherwise, they would resolve the mess with the church. The mess of sports, Easter, camps, Santa, Sunday-school, perverted books, doctrines of devils and seducing spirits, unbelief, holidays, brunches, self gratitudes, infant baptisms, socials, diabolical prayers, vain deceit etc The church preacher has your pocketbook a new program by the church or a new book or a new social to keep you in bondage dead in your sin on your way to hell fire and brimstone. Jesus’ words are spirit and life John 6:63. the church pretentds to follow Jesus when he is no longer around to be followed 2nd Cor 5:16-17 we have to follow after the words of the bible follow after Paul 1st Cor 11:1.
The church is ready to commit another abomination the Easter the cross and the bunny. The bible says we are to walk in the likeness of Jesús’ resurrection and not celebrate it as Jesus was the one who arose from the dead; he had reason to celebrate. The bible calls Easter an abomination Acts 12:4. Sugar coat it with you want, call it Passover. Christ is our Passover sacrificed for us 1st Cor 5:7-8. Time to awake to righteousness and sin no more.
Mark 7:[6] He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
[7] Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctines the commandments of men.
[8] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
[9] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
2nd Peter 2:[1] But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
[2] And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
[3] And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
1st Timothy 6:3] If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
[4] He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
[5] Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
2nd Cor 5:[13] Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.
[14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
[15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
[16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
[18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2nd Cor 7:[1] Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
1st Cor 5:7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
[8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Rev 1:[4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
[6] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Titus 2:11] For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
[12] Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
[13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
[14] Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
[15] These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Ephesians 2:10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
[11] Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
[12] That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
[13] But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
[14] For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
[15] Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
[16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
[17] And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
[18] For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
[19] Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
[20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
[21] In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
[22] In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Exodus 20:[20] And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
Titus 1:[10] For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
[11] Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.
[12] One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
[13] This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
[14] Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
[15] Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
[16] They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Romans 6:[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
[3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
[4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
[6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
[7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.
[8] Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
[9] Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
[10] For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
[11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
[12] Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
[13] Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
[14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
[15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
[17] But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
[18] Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
[19] I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
[20] For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
[21] What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
[22] But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
