(ThyBlackMan.com) There are so many things nobody tells you about health. No one ever tells you the easiest and the best ways to stay healthy. Maybe it is because they want to follow what others are doing, or maybe they think it is something you should experience on your own. And sometimes the health and fitness advice that people give you aren’t relevant. Sometimes they may not ultimately give you the satisfaction you’re searching for. Here are four ways to stay healthy probably nobody told you.
Your mind heals your body
Positive thoughts may not cure everything, but they can greatly improve your physical health. You can always use your mind to promote good health. Many studies show how the placebo effect influences healing and pain tolerance. According to some of them, about 30 to 60 percent of people feel relief from pain after taking a placebo pill. However, they later learned that the drug they were given was a sugar pill.
Finding a purpose in life also helps you stay healthy. Countless studies show that having a sense of purpose increases the chances of a healthier, longer life. You can find your life’s purpose in anything – work, family or social activities. Having a purpose to wake up early or to eat healthy food keeps your body and mind perform at their peak.
Your body is different
There is no fixed diet plan. There is no standard “How To” book for your health. Some of your friends and family members are losing weight. Some are following a ‘special’ diet plan. Some are facing health problems they have no idea about, and some are just careless. You cannot follow what they are doing because you are not them. You have to decide on your own what’s best for your health, so know your body well. Some people are just going to be so healthy that they can even make you feel inferior. The thing is, do not compare yourself. Your body is unique.
Follow a daily routine
The word “routine” often makes people think of a strict day plan with no fun time or uncertainty. Life can be fun and easy once you start following a daily routine. If you want to build the best routine for yourself, make sure it is exclusively planned for you. Again, don’t follow random advice like Albert Einstein used to sleep for 10 hours or Leonardo Da Vinci used to take 20-minute power naps so you should too.
You’re not Einstein or Tesla or Emily Bronté. Build a routine that helps you accomplish the most during your day. Give yourself enough time for family, friends, and fun activities. A daily routine will help you feel much more at peace and your mind and body will thank you.
You don’t need to be rich to stay super healthy
People often think that wealth is the secret of someone’s glowing skin or a healthy body. It is not true because money can’t always buy you good health. The superfood craze is also temporary, and believe it or not, most of those so-called healthy foods that you see in advertisements are just a bunch of basic ingredients which you can buy from any grocery store.
Eat fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds, oily nuts because these things are easily available. You don’t need to buy those expensive imported products that carry theoretical fancy properties. Take any superfood packet and read the list of ingredients. Unless the product manufacturer has cleverly hidden those details, you will find that the basic ingredients can easily be found in the local market or their solid alternatives can be found in abundance.
There are many other ways to keep your mind and body in optimal shape. Eat healthy food, drink enough water, exercise, sleep early, and meditate to improve the quality of life.
