(ThyBlackMan.com) If you’re picking up a console, you probably want to know which console has the best exclusive games in 2019. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have many hardcore fans who are ready to argue in favor of the console they own or are planning to buy. From a consumer’s point of view, everything including the hardware power, content, and track record of the console maker matters a lot.

Without a doubt, Microsoft has the world’s most powerful console in terms of hardware power and Nintendo has the least powerful console among the three. But it doesn’t mean that this argument is enough to justify your purchase. Content is the king, and it is one of the areas where the current-generation consoles differ from each other.

As long as you’re satisfied with the hardware power of a console, the next and the most important thing you should look for is exclusive content. Why does it matter? Because most of the games are released for all the major platforms including the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Nintendo Switch is also in this race but the amount of new third-party games it has received is less. We compared these consoles on the basis of the content they are set to offer this year and here’s the answer to your question “which console has the best exclusive games in 2019?”

Sony’s PlayStation 4 has already won the ‘exclusives war 2019’

Before you jump the gun or make your own conclusions, we want to tell you that the reason why Sony is winning the exclusives war again is that its lineup of upcoming PS4 exclusive games is super strong. It is, in fact, stronger than what’s coming from Microsoft and Nintendo.

Everyone’s wondering what the PS4 exclusive games lineup will look like. Here’s a glimpse of what to expect. Currently, the only first-party PS4 exclusive title with a confirmed release date is Days Gone. But there’s no shortage of first-party titles releasing for Sony’s PlayStation 4. Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part II, and Death Stranding are still waiting for a release date, but eventually, these games will arrive on PS4 at some point.

Another PS4 exclusive game coming in 2019 is Concrete Genie. During the Paris Games Week 2017, we heard a lot about this action adventure game. Concrete Genie takes place in a small abandoned town and you control a boy named Ash who draws things on his notebook which will be stolen by a group of bullies. During his quest to recover the notebook, Ash discovers a magic paintbrush that brings his art to life. The game will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 at some point in 2019.

MediEvil, a remake of the 20-year-old PlayStation game is also coming in 2019 and it will be available exclusively on PS4. We’re also looking forward to seeing what exciting things Judgement brings when it launches on PS4. For those of you who don’t know what Judgement is, it is a PS4 exclusive game which is already available in Japan, and this year, SEGA will release the game worldwide.

For PSVR users, Blood & Truth will likely arrive this year. Many of us expected that the game will be released in 2018, but since there was no marketing hype about the game, it will likely be released later this year. So these are the PS4 exclusive games which will be available this year, but we strongly feel that there’s so much more Sony will do in this year.

They skipped PSX and now they are skipping E3 2019 as well, so overall it’s strange but Sony is known for surprises, especially when it comes to bringing exclusive content. We are expecting more from Sony.

Xbox One Exclusives for 2019

Last year, Microsoft announced the acquisition of some video game studios and promised that it will bring more exclusive content on its platform. With the Play Anywhere service, Microsoft has narrowed the gap between the Xbox One and Windows games. Most of the Xbox One console exclusive games are now available on PC, so you can define the term “exclusive” in a number of ways.

One of the eagerly anticipated Xbox One exclusive games coming this year is Battletoads. Fans have been waiting for this game for over two decades and finally, in 2019, it will be released for Xbox One and PC. Another Xbox One console exclusive is Crackdown 3. In the last couple of years, we have been hearing that “Crackdown 3 is coming” but it never happened. If everything goes well according to the plan, you will finally be able to play it on Xbox One and PC in February.

It’s funny that we are adding Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course to this list, but if you have played the game, this DLC will add a fair amount of content to the game. This may not feel like an extraordinary addition, but it will make Cuphead better in many ways. Gears 5 is probably the most anticipated Xbox One games releasing in 2019. With many changes in the gameplay, Gears 5 is still connected to its roots and you’ll certainly get the Gears of War experience when it launches in 2019.

Developed by Moon Studio Ori and the Will of the Wisps will be released exclusively for Xbox One and Windows. The story of the game takes you on a new adventure which is set beyond the forest of Nibel. Microsoft is also bringing a Kickstarter-funded skateboarding video game called Session. The game will be released in late 2019 for Xbox One and PC. We haven’t heard any new update from the game developer, but according to their development schedule, fans should expect to see a preview in the coming months.

Microsoft is also focusing on releasing Halo Infinite and Tunic, but we still don’t have any confirmation on the release window. Given the size of these games, it’s safe to assume that these games will not be released this year.

Nintendo Switch exclusives for 2019

Bayonetta 3 is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, but it doesn’t have a release date yet. Other Switch exclusives coming in 2019 include Fire Emblem: Three Houses, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Yoshi’s Crafted World, Pokémon 2019, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Daemon X Machina and Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.

There are some more games which are set to arrive on Nintendo Switch, but we still don’t have any official announcement on the release date. These games include Metroid Prime 4, and Shin Megami Tensei V.

Of course, the exclusives war between Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo will become fiercer over time. But we think Sony’s PlayStation 4 has the best exclusive games in 2019.
