(ThyBlackMan.com) Acer, the brand that needs no introduction has come out with a versatile product called Acer Swift 7. No doubt, this laptop is brand spanking new and consistently making headlines for its unparalleled features. What makes Acer 7 a unique product? Of course, providing a short answer to this question is not possible because this laptop has packed a bunch of spectacular features that deserves a special mention.

1. Thinnest laptop

Henceforth carrying a laptop to college or office will not be a nightmare as Acer has released a lightweight Acer Swift 7 with slim design. The brand has also claimed that Acer Swift’s latest model is the thinnest laptop on the market. However, Acer has not made any compromise with features while trimming down the shell design. So, spending a little more amount of money to grab this 14-inch laptop doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

2. Processor

Acer Swift 7 has an Intel Core i7-7Y75 processor with 8GB of RAM to power all its newly designed features. Yes, Intel processor serves as the biggest plus point of this laptop and that adds an extra value to its identity in the market. But remember, Acer has chosen 7th generation Intel processor, not the 8th-gen. This is obviously a big step forward from the original Swift 7 which was launched a year ago, but the processor somehow fails to justify the price tag. To please its loyal customers, the laptop comes with Intel Smart Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0.

3. Battery and Connectivity

Acer Swift 7 has carried a powerful battery that can keep the device working for 10 hours after a full charge. The connectivity options include 802.11ac Wi-Fi with a 2×2 MIMO radio and Bluetooth, USB-C, USB-C/DisplayPort and the laptop is providing its users with a headphone jack. Its built-in Intel XMM 4G LTE connectivity gives a better user experience to the buyer by putting an end to troublesome connections.

4. Display and Touchpad

The laptop has an exceptional display that creates a powerful first impression in the minds of gadget lovers. It’s a high-resolution full HD IPS display with Acer Color Intelligence in order to offer better image clarity. The device also features Gorilla Glass protected screen. To ensure hassle-free as well as safe sign in option, Acer has added Windows Hello to the Swift 7. Typing will be a pleasure to a Swift 7 user because the device has a stylish and comfortable backlit keyboard that can help users to maintain the accuracy even while working in a low light area.

5. Sound

The audio features of the Swift 7 take a prominent place on the list of device’s specifications. The laptop lets you enjoy marvelous audio supported by Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony sound technology. In addition to these features, Acer Swift is equipped with HD webcam.

Okay, so when will I be able to buy this device?” this question may be swirling around in your head. You don’t have to wait for long! The Swift 7 is expected to reach North America in March with a price tag US$1,699. And there is one more good news from Acer to its customers. With Swift 7 one will receive a Transatel profile provisioned with up to 1 GB of free data valid for one month in 48 countries. Users can buy the additional data from Mobile Plans application as per their convenience.

Our take

The device looks beautiful and brings some good features and hardware. Overall it’s a good machine for students and professionals, but at some point, its sleek design turns out to be a reason why some tech enthusiasts will maintain a distance with this laptop. The device features just two USB-C ports and these sockets are located on the left. So if you are the one who uses a separate USB mouse and also keeps mobile phone’s USB cable connected to the laptop, you’ll be disappointed with the fact that every time you will need to attach an external hard drive, or any USB, you will have to manage with just two sockets. The other features of the laptop aren’t groundbreaking which is something challenging for the Acer Swift 7.
