(ThyBlackMan.com) Predicting success is like predicting the weather. You have to consider a lot of factors to know if you are programmed to be successful or you will end up being just another common human being living an average life. It’s not at all easy to accept failure and you should not prepare yourself to fail. As long as you’re alive, you can do magic no matter if you’re an adult or someone above 60.
After reading about the lives of successful people, we found the answers to these 7 questions. If you can answer these questions and feel confident about it, these questions will reveal if you are going to be successful or not.
1. How do you feel when others succeed?
When you read this question, what pops into your head? Admit it, many of us feel bad when we hear success stories of others. It doesn’t necessarily mean that those who feel bad are self-centric or jealous. It’s human nature and it happens with many.
In life, sometimes it is hard to accept that happiness can come from others’ success, but successful people and team players learn to be happy in such situations. They value and appreciate others for their roles, they set aside personal goals, and value their team’s success over everything else.
2. Do you have something to prove to yourself?
What’s your answer? A yes or a no? While many people are busy impressing others, successful people have different choice. Do you have a burning desire to prove something to yourself? Success is more about deep connections with self. When it comes to bringing results, successful people know that they are the most important person hence they prove their commitment, dedication, and strength to themselves.
3. How do you see money?
If you are given two choices which one will you choose? The options are:
- Money is a personal reward which you can use to improve your life.
- Money is a responsibility and an opportunity to grow business, empower community and celebrate success with your people.
The most successful people choose the second option. They spend money on themselves, but they don’t solely consider the money as their personal reward.
4. Do you actually want to get what you’re giving?
Whether it’s business or personal life, do you give people what you want from them? For example, you are selling a product, ask yourself the same question and answer. If you were in your customer’s position, would you care to buy from your company? If your answer is yes, keep going and maintain your honesty.
5. Do you believe in work-life balance?
Incredibly successful people don’t care about conventional work-life balance theories. They consider family, work, leisure, friends, and their hobbies parts of their lives and they do not exclude any of them for anything. They do not think that one thing is more important than the other or they can exclude work whenever they feel like. To raise a happy family, they know that work is important, and to lead a happy life, their interests and fun are also necessary.
6. Do you seek approval from anyone else other than yourself?
Some people seek approval from others and feel happy just because the others play an important role in their life. Successful people don’t just measure success, they feel it. Have you ever felt that you are happy if you share your achievements with others even when you don’t find those achievements any good? Unsuccessful people measure their happiness by others’ metrics and never feel it in reality.
7. Do you want to look successful or feel successful?
Not sure about your answer but a large number of people in the world focus on how they look. From building a self-image to choosing how to look, they focus more on appearance and less on how they actually feel. Some people give the same kind of treatment to the idea of success. They want to look successful. They want to look more serious, and they want to appear more confident, but from inside they are not. If you shift your focus from ‘how you look’ to ‘how you feel’, you won’t have to worry about your appearance.
