(ThyBlackMan.com) A Battlefield Bad Company 3 leak led many fans to believe that EA’s next Battlefield game is Bad Company 3. This is not true because the company is working on a WW2 game for 2018. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that you should stop expecting a Bad Company 2 sequel. Fortunately, the game is coming, not in 2018, but soon after that, probably in 2019.
It seems that the developers have understood what fans want from the Bad Company franchise and they have successfully figured out a roadmap for the game’s future. Back in 2012, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach said that EA won’t kill the Bad Company franchise and they will surely bring a new game. Later, the studio also said that no one was working on the Bad Company 3 in 2014 because the developers didn’t have any idea of what fans want from the franchise. According to the leak, DICE Sweden is working on the next Battlefield game which is set in WW2. About the Bad Company 3, it was said that DICE LA is working on the game. EA has not commented on the leak, but the Battlefield Bad Company 3 gameplay details are impressive. Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming game.
If EA Dice is working on the game, one of the most interesting changes we can expect is the removal of microtransactions. The way fans criticized Battlefront 2 will likely convince the publisher EA to keep microtransactions away from the game. At least the studio would want to avoid asking money for extra items, loot boxes, and skins which can be earned in the game. The developer will surely add some premium content and in-game items, but such additions will be kept limited.
The Bad Company 3 predecessor was more focused on destruction. From buildings to explosives, everything was so well-planned in the game. When you play the game, you get to see how much attention developers paid to the game’s physics engine. The franchise got regenerating health system with the previous game and medics system was also changed. EA has not confirmed how many players will be joining the game, it is possible that the gameplay will revolve around fast combats and tight gameplay.
We hope that the developers won’t put too many restrictions on the gameplay. Reducing the number of players and making combats faster is a good move, but map size should not be reduced. Bigger maps significantly add hours to the gameplay and if DICE adds small-sized maps in the Battlefield Bad Company 3, the restrictive environments will surely disappoint many fans. But on the positive side, less shootout and running will surely benefit the game.
In the previous game, the controls were very direct and faster. The single player and characters kept players engaged while the humor in the game was absolutely amazing. There are many things people love in the Bad Company 2 they couldn’t find the same experience with the other Battlefield titles. This is something that makes the Battlefield Bad Company 3 worth waiting for.
EA released Battlefield Bad Company 2 in 2010 and it is obviously very challenging for developers to deliver something fresh in a very old franchise. The studio remained uncertain about the sequel’s direction for a long time. Bringing the characters back and designing a single-player experience out of it is truly challenging. The multiplayer mode in the previous Bad Company game was praised by many fans. There are many reasons behind why players call it the best multiplayer DICE has ever made.
When almost every Battlefield fan is familiar with the vehicles and weapons DICE brought in the Battlefield 1, we still hope for something similar to Battlefield 4. Bad Company 3 must return to the number of weapons we saw in Battlefield 4. The experience the game gives is matchless and we also expect to see some ultra-modern weapons in the upcoming Battlefield Bad Company 3 game.
