(ThyBlackMan.com) In Urban America, it’s not uncommon nowadays to see at least 9 out of 10 young urban boys grow up wanting to be the next football player because they allowed the colonial media to tell them what they should be and it’s a dangerous mind trap that many young urban men fall into. And for that reason, the mainstream American sports industry, particularly football over the past several decades has become a tremendous curse to our young men.

Also, about 55% of college football and 70% of pro football players are young urban men who come from poor inner city communities. I find those numbers a bit misleading because if you look at one particular college or pro football game, it’s not uncommon these days to see at least 85 to 90 percent of the starters on the field being young urban men.

The mainstream American sports industry particularly football nowadays is basically glorified servitude where you have many young urban men risking paralysis and brain damage on the football field while throwing away all their academic opportunities and intellectual pursuits in the process. Many of them that invests everything into this illusionary hood dream of “making it to the pros” never actually make it to the pros, but very few of them do. The average lifespan of a pro football player is 3 years. So after they use the brothers up for their athletic ability for a few years, they dump them right back in the hood with very little education, no other skill, and they’ll find a new negro next year.

An infamous example of glorified servitude is when a brother named Vince Young, a former college football quarterback who won a national title at Texas, appeared on the cover of ESPN The Magazine by saying “I was born to play QB at The University Of Texas” and from the minute I saw the cover, I personally felt very sorry for him because he believes that he was born to entertain a bunch of white people on the football field in the form of glorified servitude.

To Mainstream America, seeing the physical and mental destruction of urban men on the football field all for their “enjoyment and entertainment” is very disturbing and sickening because they themselves wouldn’t even take the risk of being tackled at full speed while risking brain damage and paralysis in the long term.

For several decades, these young urban men have put their minds and bodies at risk for a sport that has historically given them back very little in return.

An example of this is when many young urban men go to big colonial universities like The University Of Alabama in Tuscaloosa which has a massive multimillion dollar college football program (they made about $104 million from unpaid mostly urban male athletes last year) and these colonial universities only reward young urban men for their labor and efforts with a mere scholarship in an illegal price fixing scheme ran by The NCAA that would be declared illegal in any other industry in this country.

It’s time that we become more educated on the long term negative and destructive effects that football has not only on a person’s body, but also their brain as well. According to science, the human brain isn’t meant to take too many blows to the head and this topic is also explored in the film “Concussion” which I greatly recommend.

I have personally seen stories of former football players killing themselves like Dave Dureson and Rahsaan Salaam because of the brain damage from those hits they took to the head throughout their football careers.

I have even seen stories of former football players like Adrian Arrington having severe brain damage that they can’t remember certain things, can’t even remember their own parents, often suffering blackouts and seizures, and even becoming mentally disturbed.

And plus, there are also stories of former football players who have suffered career ending injuries from taking bad hits that have left some of them paralyzed from the neck down that takes away their ability to have kids, enjoy healthy sex, eat, sleep, and even speak in some cases.

The Conclusion – We must not only preserve our sons brains by keeping them away from the public school system, but especially away from the football field. If I ever have a son, he would NEVER play football.
