One Can’t Defend Former President Obama with “Alternative Facts”.

(ThyBlackMan.com) It is annoying and an insult to intelligence to listen to supporters of the 45th President deny the hatred he’s spewed, or the decisions he’s made. They find a way to justify, or defend every hateful, inexperienced appointment. They believed him when he blamed generals for the Navy Seal lost in the Yemen raid literally at the start of his term. “This was a mission that was started before I got here. This was something that was, you know, just they wanted to do. They came to see me. They explained what they wanted to do, the generals, who are very respected,” he said. “My generals are the most respected that we’ve had in many decades I believe. And they lost Ryan.” This Commander in Chief that blamed his generals taking no responsibility for orders he gave is defended by his supporters. This is just one incident in the many we see every day that Trump supporters want to deny.

This president is so far removed from responsibility he insists on blaming Former President Obama for his administration woes, and supporters of 45 have taken this perspective and ran with it. We’ve heard that it’s the fault of members of the administration left over from the previous, and as of recent the Former President has even been blamed for wiretapping a Presidential Candidate. Yes, you guessed it…supporters of 45 are on board for this also. The bottom line is his supporters are constantly in denial of the lies being told, and honestly that does nothing to help their claim that this president is good for this country.

Now we have airstrikes in Syria ordered by this administration without congressional approval nor discussion. Instead of finding out if 45 had a legitimate reason to call for the airstrike…or if it followed United States and international law supporters of 45 shout: But Obama launched an airstrike on Syria and no one said anything. It is rather unfortunate to hear supporters of the former president shout back; Obama did no such thing. It is even more unfortunate to hear those that are critical of the previous president, but don’t support the current, say yes indeed Obama did the same thing Trump just did. This is disheartening because both parties are wrong. With so much access to Google it’s never okay to spew untruths that we now call “alternative facts”. Did Former President Obama launch an airstrike in Syria, yes. Did he do it under the same circumstances as the current president, no.

Let’s look at what Former President Obama did when the Syrian people were attacked by their own government (as the current President just faced):

August 21, 2013: Hundreds of people suffocate in rebel-held suburbs of the Syrian capital, with many suffering from convulsions, pinpoint pupils, and foaming at the mouth. U.N. investigators visit the sites and determine that ground-to-ground missiles loaded with sarin were fired on civilian areas while residents slept. The U.S. and others blame the Syrian government, the only party to the conflict known to have sarin gas.

Aug. 31, 2013: Obama says he will go to Congress for authorization to carry out punitive strikes against the Syrian government, but appears to lack the necessary support in the legislature.” http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4389252/Speed-Trump-bombed-Syria-differs-Obama.html#ixzz4dtz32rjR

The Former President Obama DID NOT order an airstrike without the approval of congress so in a similar situation the former president did not strike. This is what those that would defend the legacy of the former president need to look at, and what his critics should understand. It does not serve his legacy to deny that Former President Obama did in fact bomb Syria. What they should be noting further is that the airstrike he ordered in 2014 was in the fight against ISIS. If Obama supporters are bent on defending him at least do so with the facts of his administration. Denying the truth only makes one sound like a 45 supporter on the opposite end of the spectrum. Whether either airstrike is morally right or wrong will always be a passionate argument, but we can’t speak against alternative facts while creating them.

The biggest problem many have with the current president, and his supporters, is a blatant disregard for facts. The opposition ought not meddle in the same nonsense as that is hypocrisy. Yes, it happens on both sides you say…but that is no justification at all.
