(ThyBlackMan.com) Black people are in the process of being demonized and setup in a very dangerous way. Yes, we’ve always been demonized, demeaned, and disparaged, but this time it’s different, and the accusations are much more dangerous and malevolent. This time we’re being accused of being anti-American terrorists who are bent on bringing down America, so we shouldn’t take it lightly. I’ve said this before, and I thought the potential danger in this situation would be both alarming and obvious to all, but I’ve noticed that a handful of very naive Black people are fluffing it off as meanningless, so I thought it was worth revisiting.

But now that the charge has been floated, this is going to be an ongoing concern, so it’s important for the Black community to start taking steps right now to address our cultural mores and the infrastructure within our community. We must insure that we can’t be defined by the most dysfunctional people in our community, and we must also take steps to insure that dysfunction is not rewarded by, or in, the community.

.”And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues [churches] and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward . . .” Matthew 6:1-34
“IF YE WERE ABRAHAM’S CHILDREN, YE WOULD DO THE WORKS OF ABRAHAM”
John 8: 39

The churches should also be open 7 days a week to provide affordable childcare for working mothers. Then they could also hire unemployed mothers to help in the daycare centers. Churches should also utilize the knowledge and expertise of retired professionals in their congregations to help mentor and instruct the people in the community. And of course, there should be a citizens committee to oversee the operation of the various businesses (not the preachers), and it should require multiple signatures to withdraw any funds from the bank for any reason. And once again, to ensure that the funds are being used most efficiently, preachers should be placed on salaries instead of being allowed to get rich at the expense of the community. Jesus was not a wealthy man, so why should any preacher be?
.
That’s how we reform our community; we educate the community to give excellence and knowledge priority over dysfunction, and give the young people within it a sense of pride, an opportunity to put money in their pockets, to build credit and buy new cars. We’ve got to teach them how the game is played, and give them hope and confidence in their future. Then when the world looks upon the Black community, they won’t see a “thug culture” and budding terrorists, they’ll see a community with political clout, and conscientious people who are on the rise.

This started 400 years ago – and I don’t hate cops; my son and namesake has been a Special Agent with United States Department of Justice for over 15 years. I hate racist thug cops, who commit atrocious crimes against unarmed Black people under the color of authority. And I hate juries who treat them like they’ve performed a public service. In short, I hate injustice.
.
We’re SUPPOSED to live under a system where there’s “Equal Justice Under The Law.” That also means equal punishment under the law. So if a thug cop commits an unjust assault on any individual, he should get the EXACT same treatment that I would get – taken directly to jail, not given a paid vacation.
…Wadda ya want COPS….How do ya want um DEAD
This starts with Obama and his stating the police were acting stupidly while trying to protect Gate’s property. It has grown from there. And now its open season on cops. The asshole screaming burn this bitch down gets away with it because hes black….The counter to that, and its a good one, is the black man pulling an AR15 from behind his pickup seat to defend those he cares about. Thankfully he was there and caught on video.

I agree with most of what you said, except with regard to why we are called Black. While I clearly get your point, but WE insisted on being called Black during the sixties, as opposed to “negro,” or “colored.” Personally, I love being called Black and/or African American, and I don’t give a damn what the White man (who isn’t white, by the way) equates the term with. What important is what WE equate it with. Why should we base all of our decisions what the White man thinks? What we have to do is to develop the strength and political clout to defend ourselves against what he thinks. I have no intention of living my life by going around saying, “I can’t call myself Black because he might hit me.” I’m a man, so I can call myself whatever in the hell I want to.
First of all, puppet David Clarke is a joke. Just like house nigger Jessey Lee Peterson. I have attempted to contact both of them and as a former detective, I will debate them in any neutral forum.
Second of all, I also contacted BLM via their media organizational arm. And I posted several comments on their Facebook pages for the national HDQ and various cities. I said exactly what you are saying and I went in depth about how to battle strategically without placing yourself at unnecessary risk. They never answered that advice.
I have written several articles on this site and I must say the “black” church is failing poorly (Creflo Dollar Jet Man).
What’s sad is that we African Americans are still calling ourselves BLACK because Caucasian oppressors called us that to contrast their color and to assign to us all the negative things BLACK is equated with in the dictionary. The fact is, like it or not and believe it or not, YOU ARE BROWN and your car tires are black. You can say black is a culture but when they deal with you, they deal with you based on it’s definition – dismal, gloomy, dark, diabolical, treacherous, devoid of light.
WAKE UP AFRICAN AMERICANS. We do not call the Asian yellow man because he would not stand for it. We do not call the Native American a red man because he would not stand for it. We do not call the Hispanic man a brown man because he would not stand for it. And many Africans, Haitians and Jamaicans do not accept being called a color they know they are NOT.
Ironically, African Americans are the only ethnic group/race on the planet which allows ourselves to be called a color we are not, allowing ourselves to be defined by color, by someone else and to allow ourselves to be attached to a color we are not – a color they filled with negative denotations. Then we fight to help keep the lie in place.
Is it any wonder that cops treat us as BLACK people by the definition of dismal, gloomy, treacherous, evil etc? We will never rise and overcome as a people if we allow other groups to define us, to define us with a lie and we are sadly willing to help them. AFRICAN AMERICAN LIVES MATTER PEOPLE. Black is the color of my car tires, not my skin. I am a family and relationship counselor who specializes in deprogramming African Americans from slavery mindsets
BLM has become a group of anarchists, not activists. Many of them do not know the law and thus place themselves and the movement at risk. On their website the demands were just plain unrealistic in many cases. Dismantle the military industrial complex of the United States? Really? Like that is going to happen. Wait for it. It won’t.
I am in Georgia where Latousha Nedd sits in a Clayton County jail cell because of just that kind of ignorance. As a whole, the BLM group wants to use disruption and chaos as their primary tactic and does not seem to be open to wisdom, tact, covert strategy and fighting lawfully in ways you can win.
