(ThyBlackMan.com) If anything, Oprah Winfrey is a person who knows how to sell a show.  Pushing the OWN network has required this savvy businesswoman to pull all the stops to find ways to get people interested in what she has created.

The latest venture for Oprah is a head-to-head with Linsday Lohan, the mess of a woman who would have been in prison years ago if she were black.  But Lindsay keeps getting chances and has earned millions of dollars, each time doing all she can to destroy her life.  Linsday Lohan is a great example of how wealth, access and power can harm you more than help you.

Linsday Lohan can learn a great deal from Oprah, who has far more money and fame than Lindsay will ever have.  There is nothing that Lindsay haslindsey-oprah done or will do that Oprah Winfrey can’t match. She is the celebrity of celebrities.   She can also match Linsday Lohan when it comes to struggling with drugs, as Oprah admitted during a famous show back in the 1990s.

Yet, despite all of this fame, fortune and success, Winfrey has kept the kind of balance and harmony with the world that is enviable.  The money hasn’t made her weak and spoiled, it has made her strong and loving.  She doesn’t cause chaos in the world around her, she has made the world a better place.   In so many ways, I can say that Oprah Winfrey serves as the example of what it means to live a truly wealthy life.

This snippet from Oprah’s documentary about Lohan gives great insight into the interaction between these two talented women.  If Lindsay needs anything, it’s a mentor like Oprah Winfrey.  She might also need a bit of tough love to go with it, the kind that our mothers might have given us when we were kids.  Perhaps Oprah can help Lindsay Lohan understand that happiness and prosperity are created internally, and not from external factors like the size of your bank account.

Financial Lovemaking lessons from this video:

1) True wealth is measured not by the amount of money you have.  It is instead measured by the person you would be without your money.  Oprah would be an amazing human being even if she were broke.  Lohan, on the other hand, has a life that has been made worse by fame and fortune.

2) If you are wealthy and use this as an excuse to engage in a self-destructive lifestyle, you will always find your way to the bottom.  Countless celebrities show us that this is the case.
