For all of you who have been following the life of Lil Wayne, it pays to read on and be amazed of how his life turned out to be this great.

The Louisiana Hearth

Wayne’s real full name is Dwayne Michael Carter. He was born on September 27, 1982. He grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. His mother was a cook. Although his family was not perfect when his father never showed up again, Lil Wayne did not succumb to this problem. He developed his father-son relationship with Birdman. He also had a deceased step father named Rabbit whom he regards as his real father.Lil-Wayne-2014

His first schooling happened at Lafayette Elementary School. He became a member of the drama club when he enrolled in Eleanor McMain Secondary School. He finished his secondary education at Marion Abramson Senior High School.

The Initial Note

When Lil Wayne reached 8 years old, he already wrote his first raps lyrics. In 1991, he was able to meet the manager of Cash Money Records and rapper Bryan Williams. Wayne used to record freestyle raps on the answering machine of Williams which eventually earned him his ticket to be included in the record company’s roster of singers. He was able to join B.G. as he launched his collaboration album entitled True Story. Lil Wayne still became active at his school’s drama club. He had the role of the Tin Man.

His Promising Career

It was in 1996 when Wayne joined other rappers like Turk, Juvenile and B.G. Their group was dubbed as the Hot Boys. He was the youngest member. Their debut album was entitled Get It How You Live which earned a number one slot in the Hip Hop Albums Billboard.

The Block is Hot is the title of Lil Wayne’s first album as a solo artist. He was just 17 when he was able to feature contributions from his group Hot Boys. Billboard 200 made Wayne’s album as the top 3. He was then certified by RIAA with platinum sales. Because of this album, he earned his first nomination as Best New Artist. After this success, he went back to his group mates Big Tymers, B.G. and Juvenile to record the single Bling Bling.

The Advancement

No true artist would remain where he was in the beginning. Lil Wayne pushed for more success when he recorded the Carter album. This was dubbed by critics as advanced in terms of his rapping style and song content. The album cover highlighted the signature deadlocks. It was sold at almost 100,000 copies in the Billboard 200 charts and about 2million in the worldwide hit list.  In 2005, Wayne was the celebrated President of the company that started it all for him. He founded an imprint named Young Money Entertainment. His success in the music industry was further capped by his immortal rapping prowess that made him the king of his craft until today.
