George Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin what truly happened.

(ThyBlackMan.com) It’s been nearly three weeks since Trayvon Martin was murdered and George Zimmerman still hasn’t been brought before a judge or even arrested for that matter. That in itself is criminal. What’s tragic is that you’re looking at these names and drawing a blank; that’s partly because the media has been slow to pick up on the story and the rest is your reluctance to pay attention to the world on the outside of your bubble. While you’ve been busy talking about Whitney Houston, Tami Roman, and practice, someone’s son was gunned down for nothing more than being Black in a place where he shouldn’t have been.

What happened before and immediately after George Zimmerman fired the fatal shot (or shots) that robbed Trayvon of his future is still unclear, but what I see in 1080dp is that the value of Black lives in America hovers somewhere between dogs and South Dakota, but I just may be overestimating. The lack of action by the Sanford, Florida police is appalling, but the delayed reaction by the District Attorney and Florida’s Attorney General lead me to believe that  they condone the actions taken by Zimmerman that day, despite the fact that 911 dispatcher told him not to follow the “suspicious looking Black guy”.
The call has now been released to the public and in my opinion paints a very vivid picture of Zimmerman’s angst to not let this “asshole” get away. You can hear in his voice that he was probably bouncing in his seat waiting for some action and regardless of whatever he was told at the time, he was going to spring into action. For those few minutes, we were able to see into the mind of a killer, a hunter, disguised as the neighborhood watch. Zimmerman appointed himself as the block captain and was armed that day for what reason exactly?  There are so many questions that haven’t been answered, hell, they haven’t even been asked.
For example, how is a slight 17-year-old with an iced tea and Skittles suspicious? Was it the hoodie he was wearing or simply that he was Black and there was no reason for a Black to be in that community. Trayvon Martin’s presence alone solved all of the recent break-ins the neighborhood suffered, at least in George Zimmerman’s mind and he was intent on making sure he did his job as the block captain.
How do you tell a mother her child has been killed for nothing? What do you tell a father when a grown man attacked then killed his son? If you’re Police Chief Bill Lee, you tell them it was a clean shoot and the man who took your son’s future record was “squeaky clean”, despite the fact he had been arrested for resisting arrest and battery on a police officer, but those charges were dropped, while charges in this case were never considered. What do you tell a community that registered at least eight 911 calls, saw a fight, heard screams for help silenced by gunshots? Obviously you tell witnesses they didn’t hear the scared teen screaming for help, it was the guy with a gun.
Zimmerman is said to have suffered a bloody nose and his back was wet from grass, undoubtedly from the scuffle that ensured when he attempted to apprehend Trayvon and before he decided that he couldn’t take an ass kicking. What do you tell a country that’s allegedly entered a post-racial era, by not acting to find justice, by not providing comfort in the form of answers to grieving parents and a shocked community? You tell them noting. Nothing but, don’t re-nig in 2012!

  • Most "Zimmerman" are NOT Jewish. This is a very common lutheran name. STOP DRAGGING THE JEWS into this.

  • I am also white and outraged over this senseless killing. For me it is so easy to read between the lines of Zimmerman's 911 call. First he has a target, he states that the teen is acting suspiciously? Why? Trayvon is already aware that someone is following him. He even looked at George, he looked at the other houses, probably hoping he would see someone he could ask for help. George the stalker can't seem to be stopped, even after police don't want him to follow Trayvon. George didn't even want cops to meet him at a specific location, he said he would call them back and let them know where he was!! He already intended to continue to stalk Trayvon anyway. Given that George was already paranoid about the black teen, I have no doubt that he approached him with gun drawn or visible. Trayvon would easily have been on high alert, perhaps thinking some druggie was going to rob him. I DO NOT understand how you can used the law of "Standing Your Ground"" in this case. Zimmerman was pursuing Trayvon over NOTHING! It was the unarmed Trayvon who was standing his ground against a predator 100 pounds bigger and toting a gun. This is one of the most insane cases I have ever heard of and I am 67 years old. Now I hear that Zimmerman (on the news) has had no lie detector test, or testing for substance abuse. I want George Zimmerman arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder at the very least.

  • im a multi-race individual and i dont think its all about race, but more of a he's a good ole boy (Zimmerman). They can find it to lock kids up for wrongful death, because an accident happened from imitating wrestling, why cant thet do the same to Zimmerman, because no matter how you put it he took a life and was in no immediate danger. really he should be charged with 2nd degree manslaughter if he fired 1 shot or 2nd degree murder if he fired more. he was warned not to pursue and choose to anyways. i understand the world is tired of being held hostage by the youngs disrespect for the law, but we have to use the law in doing it or we're no better than those we persecute. In short i dont believe it to be racially motivated as much as i do the old against the young its tragic to have a person die but to fight for the wrong reason is more of an in-justice............we as the people need to look futher than skin color to solve the issues that plague our society..... our young have a reputation for ignorant violence and who wants to wait until their a victim to retaliate in his mind Zimmerman felt he was a hero and not a killer/ and not once did we hear he stated a racist comment so lets not jump the gun and make him 1........i just sayin its wrong of us to declare it racist w/o proof.....we only feel it is cause we ourselves are looking at skin color.....free your mind and the rest will follow

  • Now that the 911 tapes have been made public, along with information about George Zimmerman's relation with neighborhood watch. There is no reason not to detain George Zemmerman to prevent flight. The shooter was hunting and he found something he could shot that was, in his mind legal. Even, withstanding the self defense laws in Florida, he has to be picked up and investigated for murder.

  • I have family in the area and after living in Fla for yrs I can tell you that the area is a bastion of racism and bad behavior.
My thoughts are that the shooter with the Jewish last name half Spanish This man had to know the youth because the child lived there. Yet its possible that the shooter believed he could be the policeman he always wanted to be and chose to exert that position. He saw a young man with a hoodie assumed he was a thug and that the community depended upon him to keep all thugs out and the residents safe. I believe he provoked the youngman and when the youth refused to go along he threatened and shot him. The law in Fla is stand your ground, however the community did not know the man was armed nor did he follow the police when they told him to,stay in his car.. The shooter violated that young mans rights simple! and must be charged with a crime and the comm must pay.. The Condo simply hired this person without a background check and allowed him to run free. There will be justice trust me Gracias

  • I'm not surprised. I am definately sickened by the way us of African descent are treated, in this country and around the world.

  • Does anyone know where George Zimmerman is? What keeps him from leaveing town and going underground?

  • Jeff, you bring up good points. This seems like another case of "defend your own" (ie police).

Police powers are growing by the week all across the nation.

  • The police do not have authority or expert witness capabilities to determine whether the "Stand Your Ground" law applies in this case. Notice that we have not heard from George Z. or his big-mouthed father about exactly what, supposedly, Trayvon did to make George fear he was in imminent danger. Essentially, the police decided that Trayvon was guilty of threatening George and legally killed. They do not have the authority to make that decision. They are bullshitting, but you have also to wonder if the instructions to B.S. in this case aren't coming from higher up than the police, i.e. the State's Attorney's office. Somebody along the chain of command is personal friends with either George Zimmerman or one of his close friends or relatives and is shielding him from arrest so that the investigations can not be completed as they should be completed.

  • This killer needs to pay for his crime for killing this young teen, so sad that they never charged him and bring him for justice for 3 weeks. But I believe he will get his justice soon that he so rightfully deserve.
