Will Ron Paul Be The Last Man Standing…

(ThyBlackMan.com) Romney is the pace horse in the media’s manufactured vision of the race for the Republican presidential nomination. And from time to time someone edges up from the pack to challenge him and get on center stage. Right now it is Gingrich. Before that it was Herman Cain, before Cain it was Perry, and before Perry it was Bachmann and so on and on. However, one contender somehow has yet to get his moment in the sun. Nonetheless, when all is said and done, and the final shot’s been fired in the shootout at the GOP Corral, will Ron Paul end up being the last man standing?

Not possible you say? That’s because you have been drinking the media’s Kool Aid. Look at the facts. Not one vote has been cast in any primary or caucus,  not a single one. So, in actuality, it is really anyone’s race to win, not however if you listen to the media’s spin. They claim that the Republican Party is desperate to select Anyone But Romney, and so that is why the flavor of the month, or even the week, keeps changing. But what they fail to say, and anyone with sense can see, the media is involved in its own frantic campaign. It is called Anyone But Ron Paul.

Meanwhile everyone else in the Republican field as well as Obama is proclaiming only minor variations on the same worn out themes when it comes to our many wars and our deteriorating economy. Ron Paul is the only one who says about the wars, end them all. And about the debt, his monetary policies may seem strange, and they may not work. But one thing for sure, the path we are embarked on is taking us absolutely nowhere.

In Congress they are voting on a balanced budget amendment that will take years, if ever, to pass, and which they would nonetheless override if it were ever. Look at the dreaded “automatic triggers” that were supposed to set into motion drastic, across the board reductions, if “Super committee” failed to agree on cuts. As expected it failed to, and also as expected they are scurrying around right now putting those “automatic triggers” back on hold. Like an insane monster from a horror flick, Congress and all those running for president, save Ron Paul, are in effect chanting, “Stop me before I spend! Stop me before I spend!” All to no avail.

Let’s face it. Europe is bankrupt. They can do all the fancy financial footwork they want; the European debt has bankrupted the European Economic Community. And as for us, we have not yet gone bust, but we certainly will if Congress keeps spending like a pack of drunken sailors. And then what? Perhaps we can indefinitely maintain the charade that we are solvent. At least we are now, and are likely to remain, the strongest economy in the world. And the one eyed man is king in the Land of the Blind. But what will happen when the people wake up and realize the American Empire has no clothes? What then?

Say what you want about Ron Paul’s draconian monetary policies, he predicted everything that is happening to our economy today four years ago, and now all see the handwriting on the wall. But the media, meanwhile, is doing its best to obscure things, finding piddling differences among basically carbon copy candidates while Jesse Jacksonizing, that is, steadfastly ignoring, Ron Paul and his vastly different economic ideology and war policies.

A vast, apparently untapped, field for Ron Paul to explore is healthcare. As a medical doctor, he refused to accept Medicaid and Medicare taking instead partial payment, or no payment, rather than deal with these failed governmental medical bureaucracies. As a doctor he can also speak with great authority about the many needless, costly, medical tests and procedures, like the prostate screening test which has been practiced for decades with counterproductive, often horrific, results.

And what about the endless array of drugs for every imagined conditioned under the sun, and then some, advertised constantly on television with their long list of side effects, including death. Many of them end up being banned amid flurries of multi-billion dollar lawsuits. Apparently the cost of these drugs is so high because the price includes the payouts in the inevitable slew of suits against the manufacturer.

Meanwhile, many of his opponents like Newt Gingrich are posing as Washington outsiders while actually being inside the Beltway multi-million dollar a year lobbyists for the health care, banking and defense industries that are literally bleeding this country dry.

Finally, let us not forget Occupy Wall Street and the broad based student and worker movement it has spawned. They are not taking place in a parallel universe, but in this one. They are bound to affect the Republican nomination process. While all the other candidates are railing against these young protesters, Ron Paul is the only one who has the standing to ultimately emerge, if not their champion, at least the one who will benefit the most from their angst and despair.

Now let’s suppose he gets the nomination and goes up against Obama. Who would likely win? I am not that sure the president would emerge victorious. Ron Paul has the vigor and enthusiasm of a youthful base this go round, while Obama’s young supporters appear quite tepid. As for the Black vote, yes Obama would seem to have a lock on it, but how great will the turnout be? There have been many, many complaints that Obama is not doing anything to help the Black community, to which the response has been, Obama is the president of America, not just Black America. Therefore, his election was not about substance but symbolism for Black America. And, yes, symbols are important, but if he is really only a figurehead, then one term will do just as good as two.

And so, don’t believe the hype. Ron Paul and every candidate running for the Republican nomination has a chance.  Not a single vote has been cast. All these polls and opinion surveys you see are all sponsored by groups with their own little axes to grind. All of them, every single one of them, is aimed at getting you to “change your mind” to think the way they want you to think. Another term for “changing your mind” is brainwashing you. It can only work if you fail to see what is taking place. And you do, don’t you? You are not that far gone yet. Are you?

The thing is..if you listen to what Ron Paul says about Israel, rather than listen to people interpret him incorrectly, then you start to think he actually has the best Foreign Policy that benefits the State of Israel and our country as well. http://www.youtube.com/ronpaul#p/a/u/2/jFZpL8F4FgU

“And about the debt, his monetary policies may seem strange, and they may not work.”

So I looked for the author of this article and I see it was written by “Staff.” So it shows to me that collectively no one got it right. That is sad.

Dr. Paul’s monetary policy is NOT strange. It is correct. Because you all have been taught The Keynesian School of Economics – as most have – does not make The Austrian School of Economics strange, it makes it unfamiliar.

It is time to educate yourself “Staff.” A good learning experience for you would be to visit
http://.mises.org and study what he is speaking about year after year since 1976.

As Nixon said in 1971 when he took the US dollar OFF the gold standard “We’re all Keynesians now” – well, that was final nail in the coffin for the US dollar and the beginning of the debt monster. This is what propelled Dr. Paul to seek election to CONgress in Texas. He had been studying about The Austrian School of Economics and saw that our monetary policy was then as is now – doomed.

A good book – not too long – to read would be “What has Government done to our Money by Murray Rothbard: http://mises.org/resources/617

This is why Dr. Ron Paul WILL BE the last man standing. There is no doubt. He is the ONLY member of CONgress who understands Sound Money and educates relentlessly to wake up people up as to how we got in this mess and the really quite simple solution of how to get out.

Ron Paul and ONLY Ron Paul 2012

I think that there are two reasons why Media is Against Ron.

    1. Because he is against Israels Policy and wants Americans to be free from Israels Influence

    2. Because General Populations of The United States enjoys American Attacks on other countries and Killing people. This makes them feel Mighty so they only like such people like Bush and Obama.

  4. Richard says:

Sorry, but this writer has said nothing about R-U-N Paul that would convince anyone with an IQ above room temperature to vote for him. R-U-N Paul’s lunatic foriegn policy is sufficient to disqualify him from office. Yes, people, let’s allow Iran to have nuclear weapons! After all, what possible harm could that do? R-U-N Paul is a loon!

  5. Topnikko says:

Nice job on this article. No compromise in 2012….Ron Paul or bust!

  6. RANGO says:

Bravo Arthur.!!! Well informed and objective article. America and the world need more writers like you,so we don’t feel like we are loosing our mind.
This feeling is common when following the main stream media ,that is obviously in pockets of big lobby’s supporting the status qous.
Also glad that we think past the racial differences as our troubled country need us more than ever to be united,in trying to gain a better future for ourself.

My parents are lifelong Democrats. They voted for FDR. Dad fought in WWII. They are sickened by the bailouts and the Federal Reserve and the endless wars, including the drug war. They are going to vote for Ron Paul.

Words for the picture that everyone is putting together, I HOPE! I think he’s in a great spot to watch the frontrunners have their true selves exposed in a minute by minute media frenzy though. When it’s his turn, however, they will have no ammunition- his knowledge, character and voting record will shine.. especially in comparison to what people are hearing about the other candidates right now. The contrast will be a breath of fresh air to undecided voters, hopefully mainstream media can handle good news instead of this reality tv drama we’ve been watching.

  9. Jim says:

Hit the nail … on the head.

  10. Holly says:

    You are a brilliant man.

  11. Faceh says:

Wow, this is probably the best article about this particular candidate that I’ve read.

I’m gonna keep an eye out for more on this site.

  12. Chris says:

Mr. Lewin, you have just put into words what so many have been missing for so long.

    And in such simple terms!

The Establishment, Corporate, Neocon Banker/Masters in control of the media and the nomination process will do ANYTHING they can to keep Ron Paul from getting the GOP nomination.

Become a delegate. Get him the nomination. Find out how with your local RNC/GOP and let’s give America a chance for Ron Paul.

  14. Cindy says:

Thank you for the well thought out article. I wish more writers would call out the media for their shananigans so people would start waking up to what they are doing. And then, maybe people will start thinking for themselves by following your lead! Keep it up – please.

Great article Lewin. You have summed up a picture very close to the one in my mind.I am not sure about the “imagined conditioned”part.I will have to find my old English teacher for that one ,but then again I am the only one anal enough to notice that.Ha Ha…..Bravo.

  18. IMissLiberty says:

Of course he’ll be the last man standing! He stands for us decade after decade, even when losing votes 100’s to 1 in Congress. He doesn’t have to win the election to remain standing; he’s used to standing up to bullies, in defense of each individual, and he has 18 grandchildren and a few great-grand children to think of, too. The real question is, will voters stand up for freedom?

  19. freddiel says:

Ron Paul = Honest, consistent, straight-forward. He is the real deal. Thank you for your article.

  20. chmst1999 says:

    Great article.

Please encourage everyone you know to read Ron Paul’s book “Revolution: A Manifesto”. I guarantee you will not feel it was a waste of your time. Dr. Paul is the champion of the poor and middle class (even though the liberal media would try to make you believe otherwise). He is also the one candidate that will protect property rights of all citizens. Black or white, that should be reassuring. I would love to see him debate Obama. After all, when Dr. Paul says he would restore habeas corpus, close Guantanamo, end our wars, etc., what would Obama say? His only response would be, “I ran on that platform in 2008, but didn’t do any of it after being elected.” It would be an amazing scene, and one I’m looking forward to seeing.

  21. Tess says:

    Great article Arthur… very insightful.

  22. Ron Paul will be the last man standing in the GOP coral for sure. Romney thinks he has it all wrapped up, but that is Romney’s weakness. He thinks he is too big to fail just like the Banks that he supported via the TARP Bailouts. The bigger they are the bigger they fall.

When you are guided by the Constitution and a penchant for the free market than nothing can stop you. Nothing at all!

Look out Obama! Americans now have real options via the Ron Paul ticket.

  23. Jay says:

This is the most brilliant article I have seen on the 2011 GOP nomination. It confirms all of my suspicions. The media has shown it’s ability to give candidates mini surges through their coverage. The mainstream outlets will simply declare a new front runner and the polls will reflect that. It has shown itself to be very phony.

While they have been trying to hide Ron Paul it is actively backfiring.

  24. Sandhu says:

There is hope for true reporting in current corrupt media establishment, thank you sir for your perspective and wish more could be inspired to look thru true journalism..Best…

  25. krissy says:

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!

  26. Obama is dying to campaign against Newt Gingrich. He dreads running against Ron Paul. If he wins, it won’t be business as usual in Washington, which despite that being what’s best for the country, that is not what is good for lobbyists, the military ind. complex, healthcare, education etc etc. He wants to return America to what it was and should be once again

  27. Alexis says:

You hit the nail on the head with this one! You make it seem so simple, yet millions of Americans have failed to notice how the media is pushing the candidates one after another. When we learn anything about them or hear them speak, people start to think to themselves, “How the heck is this guy the frontrunner?” So then the media realizes that no matter how many stories they do on the greatness of * insert any GOP candidate that isn’t Paul here * the people are just not forgetting “Libya… uhhh” “Oops!” etc. Now they are trying to force feed us Gingrich, the serial adulterer, who was trying to have Clinton impeached while at the same time cheating on his own wife. Even if that weren’t the case, the guy can’t open his mouth without spewing pompous arrogance. Ugh. Please. Please. I beg you people. Just vote for Ron Paul!!!!

  28. John says:

Finally someone who makes sense. Polls are all bs. They are made up numbers and lies so people can be brainwashed and be told who to vote for.

  29. Rikki says:

One of the best unbiased articles about the candidates that I have ever read. I will forward a link to this article to those whom I know and I look forward to reading more of your insiteful articles. Thank you for being so honest.

  30. Michael Glenn says:

Thank you for your sensible, un-spun viewpoint. It was nice to hear from someone who so obviously does not have a personal agenda to complete, and actually wants to deliver the facts, rather than the spin.

Please keep it up. I have bookmarked your page, as I am certain many other readers have who decided against leaving a comment saying so.

  31. Adan Rodriguez says:

I agree with this article’s assessment. Personally when Perry went down in flames, everything really changed and I knew it then Ron could take it all the way to the White House. The media promotes Mitt, but truth be told no one outside of the republican establishment and neo-conservatives wants Mitt. Mitt wants to be CEO of America, not Commander in Chief of the military. Huntsman completely exposed his lack of spine. Here are the reasons the pundits were wrong on Paul though.

    – He has the best voting record.
    – He has aligned with the Constitution which the “tea party” claims to back.
    – He is the only person running who saw these economic issues since 2002.
    – He has real economic knowledge and solutions to our current problems.
    – He doesn’t back down. This guy has probably the only pair of nuts on stage.
    – Served in the military and didn’t draft dodge Vietnam unlike Mitt and Newt.
    – He doesn’t shy away from acting like a Commander in Chief.
    – Was a medical doctor which gives him credibility on Health Care.
    – He has the organization with the most passion.
    – His appeal can easily cross party lines unlike Obama, Mitt, and Newt.
    – Has a real understanding of foreign policy.
    – Has a real plan to balance our budget in 3 years.
    – Was against endless wars before it was cool.
    – Wants to protect liberty along with promote national security.
    – Is against inflation which most Americans suffer with.
    – Not pretentious!
    – Not plastic either.
    – Acts honestly and speaks plainly.

Fully disclaimer, I’m not a baby boomer. I don’t get most my news from TV.

  32. CAFM says:

A very well thought out and reasoned article, Sir. If everyone thought through his vote as carefully, there would be but one candidate, Dr. Ron Paul.

  33. Jeff Nice says:

Thank you for the honest, evenhanded article about Dr. Paul. I will be reading more of your work in the future!

  34. Joe says:

Literally the BEST article written about Ron Paul and the other candidates. Highlights the current state of affairs PERFECTLY. Ron Paul will be the last one standing all said and done. Not voting for him means your not voting for common sense! RON PAUL 2012!

  35. james says:

Very well written piece, I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for being one of the only websites with an unbiased view of Dr. Paul.

  36. Jodi says:

Great article, thanks for speaking the truth. Ron Paul is good for America, black, white, red, yellow and everyone in between.

  37. charles says:

Well written article. Indeed it is our choice to make and not be influenced by others that have an agenda.
I like Ron Paul and that will be the one I will be voting for.

  38. yrad says:

Great article. Please keep reminding the people that they have a choice and I will kee praying they someday here you.
