(ThyBlackMan.com) Family vacations can be really awesome and fun. It is a time when family bonds are strengthened as sweet memories are made. As the end-of-year festivities draw nearer, many parents are thinking of how they would make it memorable for their little ones. My humble suggestion would be to take a family vacation to Paris!

You may think, Paris? With kids?

Yes! Paris is not only the perfect romantic getaway for lovers but it is also one of the most preferred tourist destinations for families from all over the world. Their rich culture, scenic views of historic buildings, and breathtaking architecture are enough to get anyone stuck there.

With the help of local experts, I have come up with activities for an epic vacation in Paris that your children will not stop mumbling about.

Let’s delve into specifics.

  • Take a bike tour

What other fun way to get an amazing view of the city than booking a bike tour?

Several companies offer bike tours in Paris; it all depends on your preferred destination.

When choosing the right bike tour, make sure you ask about famous landmarks you are interested in and the possibility of a visit to the place. A few stops will be made on the way where the tour guide will give interesting stories of the city’s history.

If you are vacationing when the weather is unpredictable, make sure you book early enough then rebook for a later date if it rains.

  • A visit to the Eiffel tower

I am sure the Eiffel tower is on your list of places to visit. It is one of the most iconic landmarks in Paris. What’s more amazing is that you can admire it from various parts of the city.

I remember my children would pinpoint it from our different destinations and they would be so excited when doing so.

The Eiffel Tower offers an array of exciting experiences. Among them, climbing the stairs and running after the pigeons are simple things your kids will enjoy. Additionally, there is free admission for children below the age of four.

If you are planning to spend the day, a picnic on-site would be a cheap way of sharing in some family fun.

  • Parisian carousels

One thing that your children will definitely love is the Parisian carousels all over the city. The vintage yet fabulous merry-go-rounds will take you back to childhood, no matter your age.

As much as there

This is a must-do experience for every family vacationer. It is a chance to create lasting memories for your child.

  • Sample French foods

French is home to some of the best cuisines in the world. As such, sampling real French food will be a great experience for you and your family; especially if you are a foodie like me. There are a lot of bistros and brasseries that offer tourists a taste of the best French delicacies.

Crème brûlée and pain au chocolat are some of the desserts that your children will love. You could also allow them to try some delicious ice creams. Don’t be taken aback by the long lines at the ice cream parlor; the move fast and it will be worth the wait.

  • Visit a museum

Kill two birds with one stone by visiting any of Paris’ museums. They offer great recreational and educational experiences.

From the long list of incredible museums in Paris, visit one or two before departure. The museum you choose will depend on your family’s preferences.

However, you could plan ahead of time, get a Paris museum pass. This gets you pass to 50 monuments and museums across the city. What’s more, you can skip the lines.

  • Photo session at the ‘I love you’ wall

I treasure family time and the memories they bring. One way of relieving these amazing memories is through taking photos.

Le Mur des Je t’aime (The I love you wall) is a magnificent place to visit with your family and take photos. The blue-tiled wall has the words ‘I Love you’ written 311 times. As if that is not amazing enough, the words are written in 250 different languages.

Other amazing places to visit include Seine river boat tours and the Luxembourg Gardens, these are just but some of the places your family will love. So plan accordingly!
