(ThyBlackMan.com) As this election nears we see both of you and your supporters talking about Black and Brown issues. However, its crystal clear to me the NEITHER of you have a clue about the issues in our communities or you do and just refuse to speak the truth either way I will give three issues that if you tackle would change our communities for EVER!!!!!
Unemployment: We all know the unemployment numbers for Black and Brown people in this country are extremely high but no one has given the real reason why? It’s the Judicial system that’s why!!! So many of us have records for non-violent offenses yet the way the law is written in most states you have to wait a minimal 10
years to get it expunged.
With a scarlet letter on us for 10 years we cannot get government jobs or good paying jobs. So if one of you would just say these words ALL FIRST TIME NON-VILOENT OFFENDERS CAN EXPUNGE THEIR RECORDS ONCE THEY PAY THEIR DEBT TO SOCIETY you would change unemployment in a BIG way for us.
Education: We are a country built on capitalism but by definition to have capitalism you need three levels the poor, the middle class, and the rich. Well we have put these same three principals into education think about it we have the underperforming (poor) the average student(middleclass) and the AP students(rich).
WE have designated the life of these kids because once a student is put in one of the three that’s their track through public school. So if one of you would just say these words I WILL END THE PRE DESIGNATION OF STUDENTS you would greatly help our communities. Our teachers are AWESOME its this teaching for a test that has caused these designations for life for our kids.
Vocational Training: If you would set up a national vocational center make it free with the caveat anyone who enters must finish and once done they must teach at the center that they attended or work for the city or state in which they reside.
I write this letter because I have seen how both parties have not done a thing to try and fix the issues in the urban communities in my lifetime. We have constantly been over charged in court, falsely accused in the courts and NOT ONE PERSON in the media is saying a thing!!! Not even Black host are saying anything. We have been shown as lazy or thugs in the media and when we do fight back or speak up what happens?
They kill us or try and lock us up. Even when we do it peacefully like Colin Kaepernick we get called UN American. We don’t want handouts we want a chance. So ask you both will you give us a chance and implement these three points as a start to help rebuild our part of this country called America?
