(ThyBlackMan.com) Eminem is a little wild boy from Kansas City who becomes the most popular rapper in the world. He started from nothing, but eventually become a multimillionaire. He was born on October 17, 1972 with a real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III. Eminem and his mother struggle a lot with the loss of his father when he was six months old. He has a bit chaotic childhood. He and his mother move to one place to another, which caused him to attend different schools. This has made him really aloof and difficult to adjust to different surroundings.
He and his mother finally decided to settle to Detroit when he was 12-years-old. If you look at Eminem today, you would say that he is a person with a very cool personality, but as a child he was a victim of
bullying. On the lighter side, he was seen interest in rap as early as 4-years-old. When he turned 17, he decided to make a name for himself which is M&M; a combination of the first letter of his first name and last name, but later on he changed that to Eminem.
His personal life
He got married in 1997 and he immediately had a child. At that time, he has so many responsibilities to attend to, but with a very little cash. What he did was, he went to rap and joined a rap battle in Los Angeles with the hope that he will win the cash prize. Unfortunately, he comes second, but what he did was he gave the sponsors a copy of his infinite tape, which was sent to Dr.Dre, who was extremely impressed with his talent in rapping.
Dr.Dre contacted him and they recorded the album The Slim Shady LP. There are so many rappers in the world, but Eminem is one of the most popular rappers because of his unbeatable rapping. He was mostly seen in public such as in the Rolling Stone, Rap Pages, Spin, VIBE, URB and Stress. In fact, he had made history being the very first white person to be the cover of The Source. Aside from rapping, Eminem also appeared on movies like “8 Mile”; a movie that is based on his life. He had also a total of more than 20 guest appearances on television and has been featured in numerous CDs or rappers.
His album “The Marshall Mathers LP” has sold more than 8 million records in the US alone. In the first week, it has already sold a total of 1.76 million copies; which is a record breaker for a solo artist. Throughout his career, he has won a total of three Grammys. Indeed, he is one of the most successful rap artists today. He has an explicit behaviour, but one cannot overlook his accomplishments. He is already a rap legend and his songs will be forever in the hearts and minds of his followers. Some may not like him, but nobody can deny the fact that he is one of the most loved rappers in the world.
