(ThyBlackMan.com) The most common answer, “He was not blond and blue-eyed like they show him in movies and paintings. He was darker than that, like the people who live in North Africa today.” However, the average American today looks nothing like the average American 500 years ago when Columbus arrived. So why expect the North Africans of today to necessarily resemble those of more than 2,000 years ago?
Some point to phrases in the Bible that say, “His eyes are like blazing fire, his feet like burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of many waters.” which would indicate a very black man with a deep voice. And there are depictions of Christ like this in some Black churches, and some ancient statues and paintings show him this way. However, doesn’t the second commandment explicitly forbid the making of “graven images?” So how come there are so many depictions of Christ, as Black or white?
Muslims have no depiction of Jesus Christ or any of the prophets, neither do Jews, or many Christian sects. However, Catholics and many Protestant sects do have icons, usually of a white Jesus. And note that it is Catholics and the Protestant sects with the white Jesus icon that sent out missionaries in the wake of the European conquerors and colonizers. Note that the literal meaning of “Catholic” is “universal.” The Catholic Church purports to be universal, a faith for everyone. However, how can any faith that holds that certain of its members look like God, and others do not, be all-encompassing? Once the prophets, or God himself, as many Christians hold Jesus Christ to be, is pictured as any color, then all who are not of that color would have to have a lesser status.
However, there is an even deeper question. Did Jesus Christ really exist? Because this is a predominantly Christian country, the mass media acts as if Jesus Christ is an undisputed, real historical figure. As a result many, if not most, are not aware that there is a historical debate as to whether or not such a person really existed. Who or what one believes, or does not believe, is a purely personal matter. But it is a fact that there is great controversy over Christ’s authenticity.
Here is a little test. Tell me, who am I referring to? He died in his 33rd year. He said the man married to his mother was not his father. He said he was fathered by a God. He was called, “King of Kings.” And the name “Issus” was connected to him. Who was that? Jesus? Yes, but all these things are also true of Alexander the Great. It has been claimed that Christ is a re-configuring of the supreme Western conqueror, Alexander, as a supremely religious figure.
The Persians invaded and conquered Egypt in 666 BCE. The Greeks under Alexander came in 333 BCE. Alexander’s general Ptolemy, after Alexander’s death, inherited the throne of Egypt and was declared Pharaoh. The Ptolemaic line was the last Pharaonic dynasty; its last member was Cleopatra. After Cleopatra, the Romans seized Egypt. The Romans, at first, persecuted the Christians until, that is, the Emperor Constantine converted to the Christian faith.
However, Walter Williams in The Historical Origins of Christianity disputes that last claim. He offers evidence that Constantine did not convert to Christianity, but, instead, created it! Williams says that the Romans were not putting Christians to death, that they were persecuting the last stubborn remnants of the original, ancient Egyptian religion. Constantine, says Williams, ceased his attacks on them once they agreed to convert Egyptian religion into what is now known as Christianity. That is why the earliest statues of Christ and his mother are Black. They are based on the Egyptian holy figures Isis and her son, Osiris.
Notre Dame and many European cathedrals are, in fact, built on sites that were originally temples to Isis. Notice, how in Southern Europe the “Mother of God,” is often given as much, if not more, attention and veneration than Christ. Williams, and others, say this is because Mary is really a refiguring of the goddess Isis, and Jesus is a recasting of her son, Osiris.
The Romans badly needed a central religious figure to hold together their ever expanding Empire. Observe that the Pope is called the “Pontiff.” One of the titles of the Roman Emperor was “Pontifex Maximus.” Also, look at the hat, called the “mitre,” that the Pope and all the bishops of the Catholic Church wear. It is based on the double crown of the Egyptian pharaoh. The pharaoh was the intermediary between the people and the gods, the Roman Emperor and later the pope assumed that pivotal role. After the fall of Rome, the various kings that rose up across Europe claimed to rule by, “Divine Right.”
So we see that starting with the simple question, “What color was Christ?” we can explore a host of historical issues and perspectives. But, bottom line, what is the truth? Only you can decide. However, unless you read and think for yourself, others will make up your mind for you and thereby decide your fate. Would that not be a waste?

The original Jews were black. That’s why Hitler killed the People. When the original Jews left Hitler said they were people of color, but when they returned they were white with blue eyes & blonde hair. So he killed them ,saying they were not the real Jews. they were pretraying to be Jewish ,but they were a different race. Hitler did not kill because he had a problem with the Jews ,he had a problem because they weren’t the real Jews. Jesus was Jewish, in the desert, so he most definitely was a Man of color….
To avoid confusion, remember these things: With his color, he could blend into a Jewish crowd, He often would work in the Sun, After a session of passionate prayer he would take on a glow, His speech was direct and to the point as needed, He was fun to be with but careful of vain expression, He always wanted the very best for you and believed you would do your best, If you were tired, he would lay his hand upon your shoulder and you would rapidly be renewed, Most of the time he could read you like you were an open book but never gossiped belittling your privacy, He often broke bread in his own unique way, but never declared his way was better. He did declare his life was an example but stressed that you and each one had to walk your own path, and, finally, Those in the upper room knew the offering of himself was accepted and their sins were forgiven when they saw the familiar flame that they so often saw upon the burnt offering upon each one’s head.
One can debate this issue till He comes back and proves it to all people. That is not the problem it is what lineage was Christ born from, what people group was His nationality and that is indisputably – He was of Jewish descent. Yet, color does not change Him, we must accept Him as our Savior and Lord and be obedient/faithful to His commands – to lone one another as He has loved us! This is the failure of modern Christianity all this other stuff is just that stuff side issues and truly unnecessary.

Jesus (EA Zeus) the Christ, born on December 25 and died (crucified on a cross – Tammuz) at Easter (Ishtar) on the sixth day of the week, is a figment of the mind of Christianity – a Christian myth. Christianity’s Jesus (EA Zeus) the Christ rose two nights and one day later.
The body of Messiah YAHUSHA of Natsaret, a Hebrew from the tribe of Yehudah, was of a dark (hued) complexion. Messiah YAHUSHA, Sovereign YAHUEH’s Lamb of recompence was born on the first day of the Festival of Booths, circumcised on the Great Last Day of the festival, and died (transfixed on a post) at Passover in the middle (4th day) of the week. In Truth, Messiah YAHUSHA rose three days and three nights later (Matt 12:40).

Racheal. Christ was NOT born on December 25th!! There is not a word In the Scriptures about the precise day of Jesus’ birth, or time of year.
Christmas was not celebrated in the first centuries of the Christian church.
Saturn – An ancient Italian god. Saturnalias, this is the great ‘Festival of Saturn,’ celebrated from December 17th to the 24th, usually exchanging “gifts” on the last two days from house to house. Then on the 25th of December, they began the new Celebration of “The birth of the “unconquerable Sun,” as the days of light would begin to lengthen and the sun would now begin to regain its dominance. Does any of this begin to sound a little bit familiar? The Roman Catholic Church saw that there was no celebration for their Christian faith of their God. Since December 25th was the day when the gifts were given for the beginning of the Sun god to rise again, they chose to take this pagan ritual and worship the Son of God. All Satan did was to disguise a church in the name of our Lord and open the floodgates of paganism and heathenism to pollute the truth.
Nowhere in the Word of God are we told to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas programs, songs, books, Nativity scenes and cards are not Scriptural. In most of these we find misrepresentations about the shepherds, the wise men, the star, the child ect. Nowhere in Scripture are we told how many wise men there were. There were three gifts so it is assumed that there were three wise men. There could have been one or two but more than likely more than three. Also the wise men did not see Jesus in the manger according to the Scriptures they saw Him in a house with Mary His mother (Matt. 2-11) – no mention of Joseph or the shepherds. (One can use astrology to show that there were (are) three wise men that follow a star to find (get to) the place of the new born son (or should it be sun.))
The word “inn” in Luke 2:7 (kataluma) is used again by Luke in 22:11. Kataluma, Greek 2646, Strong’s kataluma, kat-al’-oo-mah; from Greek 2647 (kataluo); properly a dissolution (break up of a journey), i.e. (by implication) a lodging place, guest chamber, inn. The INN is the same exact wordh as “guest chamber” in Luke 22:11. The very next verse describes this kataluma as “a large room upstairs.” The guest chamber was the upper room of a house for guest. At the time that the Lord Jesus was to be brought forth, this guest chamber, upstairs, was full, most likely with all of the family’s relatives. With no room in the inn, Mary had to go down to the “manger” in the lower part of the house and it was here that she put her child who was wrapped in swaddling clothes. A manger usually hewn out of rock would truly be scriptural based, for our Lord Jesus is the ROCK of our salvation and we are to build our HOUSE on the ROCK for this is where He was laid.
Knowing that Joseph was returning to his hometown of Bethlehem to be counted with his family in the Roman census, it had to be Joseph’s intention to stay with his family. Since many out-of-town family members would have been arriving at the same time, the guest chamber (kataluma), upstairs was already full. Mary and Joseph found space in an area that comprised the first floor of the house – the manger.
JESUS WAS A MAN OF COLOR BY NO MEANS WAS HE WHITE WITH BLUE EYES AND FROM THE CONTINENT HE WAS BORN ALL PEOPLE WERE OR HAD BROWN SKIN AND PERHAPS BROWN EYES.JESUS WAS JEWISH SO JUST FROM THAT AND FROM THAT ERA AND THE PART OF THE CONTINENT HE LIVED MAKES THIS A NO BRAINER. HE COULD HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED A BLACK JEW SINCE MOST OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE OF THAT ERA HAD BROWN SKIN SOME A DARK BROWN OR EVEN BLACK. CHECK YUR FACTS I DID MINE
I truly agree.
What is your source for the name “Issus” being used to refer to Alexander and Jesus?
Alexander the Great fought a battle near the town of Issus, and an area close to the site was named Iskenderun (apparently the Turkish equivalent of “Alexandria”).
Other than that, I can’t find “Issus” referring to either of them.
There have been people that have had near death experences and seen a white Jesus. There also has been a girl that see’s Jesus’s and paints him and he is white also.
Mind programming…
Pictures/drawings/movie depictions (images) of Jesus (EA Zeus) the Christ are always fair-skinned with straight brown hair. The image seen of Jesus (EA Zeus) is actually a depiction of Cesare Borgia.
Love, Light, Laughter, and Prosperity…
The Bible says that God created man in his image. The color of Jesus’s eyes, hair, and skin doesn’t matter to me He is the son of God, he died for our sins. Through him, believing in him, and trying to follow in his footsteps, we can have eternal peace. That’s what matters.
You’re totally sick ?just because you’re white … don’t tell us about near death experience. Is not the fact . Do your research because the first people on earth was black people and Bible was changed by whites … in the Bible it says Jesus has a bronze skin color …
It appears to me that the American mass media don’t take any position on Christianity at all.
The Jews as a people did not generally mix with other peoples, so you would expect that Jesus would look like the Jews look now, that is from olive skinned, to light brown, to white. Sorry …

The caretakers living in the Promised Land since 1948 are not descendants of Shem (Shemites) – the people of promise – they are Khazarian converts to Judaism (7th century). Sovereign YAHUEH’s promise is to the descendants Ya’aqob – Hebrews.

… And that is why they are called “Jewish” and not Jews or Hebrews.
