When Gun Safety Means Confiscating Weapons and Having a National Gun Registry.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Today I officially became a potential felon. Now I may or may not own an ATI Omni Hybrid with Quad-Rail AR15 pistol and other munitions but that is beside the point. The point is they are coming after us quick, fast and in a hurry. Presently, the power craven political class currently in office seems to desire to suggest that having the right to self-defense as enshrined in the constitution and Bill of Rights is a criminal offense. The way I see it, anyone who tries to restrict my right to legally own firearms under the guise of trying to make America safer is a pure liar and merely just wants to disarm my autonomy as an individual.

Joe Biden and Merrick Garland gave a press conference in which they announced their plans to issue executive orders on gun violence prevention. President Biden began his statement with a lie saying: “Nothing, nothing I’m about to recommend in any way impinges on the Second Amendment.” Truth of the matter is that the Second Amendment states that “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Infringe means to “act so as to limit or undermine.” He continued by saying that “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute.”

I find these statements untenable and frightening for the constitution is not dependent on an interpretation based on the feelings of Joe Biden but rather the inalienable rights inherent in men and women as ascribed by God. Biden even suggest that “From the very beginning the Second Amendment existed, certain people weren’t allowed to have weapons.” This is not grounded in historical fact and is an articulated fabrication.

There was nothing in any of the statements of writings of the founding fathers that supports this perspective. The President even once said that people “weren’t allowed to have certain weapons” and that “you weren’t allowed to own a cannon during the Revolutionary War as an individual.” This too is false. There is no evidence of any sort of ban on any arm during the period of the Revolutionary war in colonial America. The truth is that many private citizens owned cannons during this time period and thankfully for America they did. People who privately owned and operated ships in wartime captured enemy ships for profit. These individuals were called privateers and yes, they owned cannons. They even were licensed by the government so that they could avoid being prosecuted for piracy, seeing they were not a part of the official navy.

To keep it simple and clean, this is not about guns but rather is about authoritarian’s desire to control the American population. Thus, this false narrative on gun control is based on lies instead of facts. Like his cannon statement, Biden said that the “proliferation of so-called “ghost guns” is a problem, albeit there is no data to confirm or deny this claim. He also said or at least thinks that firearms purchased at gun shows are exempt from background checks – this too is false.

Basing all of this on a past record of fighting the NRA, a public group of U.S. citizens is wrong and merely a way to vilify those the progressive mob disagree with. Truth is that the NRA was founded in New York State in 1871 by a group of former Union Army officers. One of their missions was to address the conditions of defenseless freed slaves in the south. After the Civil War, many southern states enacted gun control laws aimed at disarming blacks, a population who had long been denied access to firearms. In many ways, Biden’s desire to implement a $200 tax for pistols that have stabilizing braces and deciding to call it a short-barreled rifle will hit poor and black populations hardest. Rich and wealthy elites will have the money to pay this annual fee, but this will be a burden on poor and minority families. Breaking it down it is no different than the poll taxes practiced in the segregated south that democrats used to disenfranchise black voters. This is designed to disenfranchise poor and black gun owners.

Another concern is that it is clear these folk pushing these new gun laws know little if anything about firearms. They couldn’t tell the difference between a 556 or 308 or a 40sw versus a 357 caliber munition. People that know nothing about guns should never make laws pertaining to gun ownership.

None of this makes any sense if math is the foundation for making such decisions. In 2019, rifles only accounted for 364 homicides in the U.S. compared to 1,476 the result of knives and 397 by Blunt objects (clubs, hammers, etc.). Personal weapons like hands, fist and feet were responsible for 600 deaths according to FBI data. Across the nation from New York to Chicago and Memphis to Philadelphia homicides, shooting, carjacking and violent crime is on the rise. But instead of addressing this, the Biden administration would rather say that your rights ordained by God do not exist and that they will violate the constitution to reinforce this perspective by passing executive orders that basically exhibit despotism.

This is not about public health or safety. It is just more of the same in the progressive desire to isolate us, divide us by race and gender, end free speech, trample on our constitutional rights and to disarm us. This isn’t Jim Crow 2.0 – this is Mao’s Cultural revolution 2.0.

The second amendment is about defending the free state. Therefore I am afforded the ability to have and own any weapon any government may have. Once ago in history the musket was the assault rifle (whatever that is) of the day. The Biden administration clearly is okay with criminals having any firearms they want but not law-abiding citizens as guaranteed by the Second Amendment. This is really about confiscating weapons and having a national gun registry to eventually take away firearms from law-abiding citizens. Again, this has nothing to do with making Americans safe and will not have any effect on attacks against Asians in major cities or on child shootings in Chicago every day. The second amendment is an individual right as clearly enumerated in Federalist Paper No. 29. It was Thomas Jefferson who said it best: “The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes…. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
