(ThyBlackMan.com) Microsoft has released the list of free games available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. December 2017’s Games With Gold bring a total of four games for Xbox One and Xbox 360. As usual, Xbox One players will be able to play all the four games for free, while the Xbox 360 players will get two games. The list of titles includes Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide and Back to the Future: The Game – 30th Anniversary Edition on Xbox One. On Xbox 360, eligible players will be able to play Child of Eden, and Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death.
Games With Gold subscribers can play Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide throughout the month of December, while the Back to the Future: The Game – 30th Anniversary Edition will be unlocked on December 16 and will be available till January 15. Child of Eden will only be available for the first 15 days of December, so if you haven’t started playing the game, do it. Time is limited for this title and soon after this game disappears from the library, Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death will be available from December 16 to December 31.
For the eligible Xbox One players, there are two games available now in the Games With Gold library in December. Here are the details of all the four games to help you get an idea of what they bring.
Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide
Vermintide is a beautiful, chaotic, challenging and addictive game. It can keep you busy for hours and the reason is it’s difficult to level up in the game. It features one of the most engaging co-op modes of its time. The game is heavily inspired by the Left 4 Dead formula, but it’s different in its own ways. The missions in the game are short and once you get grip on the controls, you won’t need to spend more than 30 minutes on each. It doesn’t mean that the missions are very easy and fights are simple too, some missions in the campaign mode are very difficult to perform the required tasks.
Gameplay length: Between 6.5 to 10 hours.
Child of Eden
The story of this game is not the reason why people love this game. The game’s music, gameplay formula, and concept make people love the Child of Eden. The game is about saving a girl who was born on some other planet. Players need to shoot objects on the screen and as a result, some music is produced. The game features 5 levels known as Archives. Child of Eden offers many moments of adrenaline rush and sometimes it will make you feel lost. The neon light will surely make you ask if you’re tripping. With spectacular visuals, sounds, and enough content will make you play the game again. Addition of Child of Eden in the Games With Gold library is really a good choice.
Gameplay length: Between 1 to 2 hours.
Back to the Future: The Game – 30th Anniversary Edition
The game puts you in the role of a time-traveling teenager Marty McFly. The driverless time machine DeLorean returns and Marty will now return back to 1931 to save Doc from death. The characters need to alter the past to fix some problems without erasing the future. The game is challenging and with the Anniversary Edition, there are several changes such as the game features the original movie’s cast members including Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown, Tom Wilson, and Claudia Wells.
Gameplay length: Between 10 to 12 hours.
Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death
In the Games With Gold library, this is a good action game where the gameplay, environments, and camera angles will remind you of God of War. The controls are smooth which you can feel while climbing, sliding, and moving objects. The game rewards you at many places and it’s really good for keeping players engaged. Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death starts with the character holding a melee weapon but throughout your journey, you will get many weapons and reward points to enhance your gameplay experience.
Gameplay length: Around 4 hours.
