(ThyBlackMan.com) NeNe Leakes is in talks with Bravo to ink a new deal for a return to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Though Leakes has not yet officially signed a contract for a Season 10 return to the hit Bravo reality series, sources said she’s inching closer and the new deal may also include her own spin-off. Bravo previously gave “RHOA” cast member Kim Zolciak her own spin-off, properly titled “Don’t Be Tardy.” No word on what impact Leakes’ financial negotiations will have on a potential deal, but the report said the former “Housewives” is eyeing only a part-time return.
The actress and reality star recently opened up to Dr. Oz about her political views on Donald Trump, saying she thinks he’s changed 
since becoming President. NeNe Leakes was a contestant on Season 4 of “The Celebrity Apprentice” when Trump was still hosting and she said during “The Dr. Oz Show” that she no longer recognizes the man the nation now refers to as President Trump.
“When I worked for Donald, he and I got along very well … Now, who this person is that we’re seeing, I don’t know who that is… I don’t know him to ever speak that way,” NeNe Leakes said. “Now, he’s always been very honest and very true and very blunt,” she said. “He’s always been that way, but I did not witness him doing anything unethical.”
NeNe Leakes has reportedly been offered $2.5 million to return full-time to Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, according to Life & Style magazine. Citing an insider source, the publication said Leakes, 49, is considering the deal, which is substantially more money than she was making when she left the franchise in 2015 after seven seasons. At the time, NeNe Leakes was making $1 million per season.
“The suits at Bravo are willing to pay big money to get the best cast,” said the insider to Life & Style. According to the source, Leakes said she expected to have a higher paycheck than Kim Zolciak or she would not even consider returning to the show.
Though NeNe Leakes hasn’t officially been a cast member of RHOA for several seasons, she has maintained a connection to the show. Most recently, she appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live to provide commentary on the antics of cast members Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams.
Bravo has yet to confirm which cast members will be returning for season 10.
“Phaedra been doing this bulls**t for a very long time,” NeNe said, in response to a fan question about the revelation. “Phaedra did the exact same thing to me, as we already discussed before, years ago on the show when she first came on. She tried to take me down and it didn’t work. Phaedra’s been doing stuff like this, she just got caught with these girls.”
She also added that Phaedra was the “shadiest” among the group of ladies and mentioned that her BFF, Porsha Williams, played an equal part in what went down between her and Kandi, even though Phaedra initiated the rumor.
