(ThyBlackMan.com) After Janet Jackson announced the birth of her son in January, rumors that she allegedly had a secret child with ex-husband James DeBarge resurfaced. While it’s all been hearsay since then, DeBarge’s mother, Etterlene, has spoken out in an attempt to add some validity to the rumor, and she claims to have receipts.
Speaking with Inside Edition, she claims the pop music icon secretly had a daughter with her son 31 years ago. She recalled a specific conversation she had with Janet Jackson about the alleged 
pregnancy at the time.
“I told her she was pregnant,” she said. “I didn’t ask her. I said, ‘Girl, you pregnant. Look how fat you’re getting.’ She just laughed it off. She never denied it.”
She went on to explain that since then, as the years went by, several women have come to her claiming to be the alleged secret daughter. There was one who she said she actually believed, though.
“I told her, ‘The proof is in the pudding,'” she said. “Let’s go get a DNA test.” The results, she said, showed that “the probability of relatedness is 96.7 percent.” The woman who alleges to have a probably match is said to be 31 and lives in Philadelphia.
The scandal exploded when Radar revealed the identity of the woman the DeBarge family has claimed is the love child, Philadelphia native Tiffany Whyte. James’s mother, Etterlene DeBarge, has said that she and Whyte, 31, previously took their own secret DNA test – and it was a match. So, James and Tiffany agreed to take a test for Radar in an attempt silence the skeptics forever.
“It is for sure that James Debarge and Janet Jackson are my parents,” Whyte told Radar. “I want to know the truth.”
As for James Debarge, 53, he said he was ready to start the next chapter –with or without Whyte. “I don’t like speculating,” he said, explaining that he was ready for the scientific verdict. But if the results came back positive, he said, he was ready to welcome Whyte into the family. “I’m not going to push it on her,” James said. “I still don’t know what to do. I’m still kind of feeling this thing out, how to be a father to a stranger.” Said Whyte, who grew up in the Pennsylvania foster system, “I’ve been waiting for this moment for 31 years. I always wanted a father. Always wanted a dad. I would like for James to be a part of my life.”
At this current time Janet Jackson is enjoying motherhood and deeply in love with her husband who is no other then Wissam Al Mana. We can only wonder why demons from the past continue to try to demonize such a legendary singer. Janet Jackson has always been a peoples person and over the years have helped out so many. Many more years of happiness for the Queen known as Janet Jackson.
