(ThyBlackMan.com) With the presidential election behind us how has this affected the black community? How have black people taken this country backwards instead of forward? These are questions that really need answers because we are good at complaining about anything and anyone, but the minute someone offers some free food or whatever all that high and mighty logic just went out the window. As a black woman I am embarrassed and ashamed of what has become of our race and it’s like folks don’t care anymore as to who represents them politically or otherwise. This country is moving forward in a negative way and in so many words is slowly being taken back a century. The Black Lives Movement has played a role in the declination of black people actually making progress in this country other than being publicly filmed fighting with police and among each other.
We also took this country backwards when some of us decided to vote for a man who has no political experience and is basically about to run the country into the ground. We are not an organized race by any means because we complain about everything from being broke to the world in general. The sad thing is that many blacks are not engaging themselves in the political process whether it be the mayor’s election in their home city or even the governor’s election in their state of residence.
We as a people haven’t learned what our ancestors had fought and died for. The sacrifices of those before them laid the groundwork for them to live in a world that’s free of racial restrictions. I think about all that my ancestors have given for me to be able to sit here and type this piece and express what’s going on in the world. Going back to slavery slaves were killed for doing simple things such as reading and writing two valuable tools that could one day get them free.
The complete and total disregard for getting an education and a job something that many young black men and women are not taking seriously. They’re ok with living on free money to get housing and food, but have no desire or motivation to want to get their education and a job to support themselves. That’s one of the main factors of why black people are moving backwards instead of forward and it’s only getting worse with the number of grown able-bodied adults living at home with no career or school plans and being taken care of by a parent or grandparent.
The parents and grandparents have contributed in the failure of young black people making a place in society in 2016-2017. Many newly minted adults in this world are having a hard time getting a decent start in life because they haven’t cut off people who are only holding them back from opportunities presented to them.
We’re continuing to go backwards when we also deal with our people being chronically incarcerated and not getting their lives together. People view us negatively because of our behavior and what many of us have been allowing to happen in our families and homes. If we stopped allowing BS and setting real standards meaning if you got an able bodied adult living at home on Section 8 and food stamps, but won’t work how to do you come across this kind of wasteful nonsense? Start by cutting off things such as access to a car or even a cell phone and make them go and get a government phone since having the net to Facebook is a luxury and some things should be treated as such.

Phillip……..I am not ashamed of what I wrote I speak from what I see in the world and you’re just another African American who can’t stand the truth to be said. It’s sad that black people are quick to get defensive when the truth is being said. Unfortunately…..the backhanded replies I always expect them from black people and I don’t need to grow up because I am not one of those young ass kids you met in the street I am in my 40s and well established.
What’s wrong Bernard did the truth stick you where it counts? Another thing sweetheart…..you need to work on articulating your words the word is EPITOME not EPITAMIE.Oh and let this marinate in your mind don’t get mad because I spoke the truth and that is black people dont like hearing the truth about themselves. So unless you’re going to run your BP from having a conniption over me telling the truth that’s on you. I speak from observing the BS in the black community and funny you get pissed off when you ought to be thanking someone for finally speaking out and bringing attention to something that the black community often times sweep under the rug because they dont want to address the truth head on.
Say What? you call yourself a “BLACK WOMAN? this nonsense you slung together, shows just are “IGNORANT” you are.You are the “EPITOMIE” of Self hate. You have a name which appears to be a “MUSLIM”name, and going by your name,i never would have thought, you could be this brainwashed.Another thing there is no such word as “DECLINATION” but,it just shows how this site, will post any&anyone, who will Disparage and put out “MIS-INFORMATION”,about black people, especially Sellout,Aunt Jemimas&Uncle Toms!.You are a real life femimine, version of the character played by Samuel Jackson,in the Movie “DJANGO” You have allowed yourself to be,”PROSTITUTED” in the deliberate, put down& demeaning of your own people! and you can”t even see it! you are a sad case indeed.Trying to be “WHITE” and trying to impress Whites,or curry favor from them.with False, ridiculous, assertions, regarding incarceration, lack of education,un-employment,is bad for your Health.Because God don”t like “UGLY.And you are Ugly Ms Abdullah! Believe That…………..
The person that wrote this article should be ashamed. Black self pity at it’s most pathetic. This serves no constructive purpose and presents a totally false vision of the recent election. Black people represented such a small percentage of Trump’s support and yet the author of this suggests they are the ones that put him in the white house. For example 2% of Black females voted for Trump versus 26% Hispanic females and 53 % white females. It is so sad that our favorite pastime seems to be sitting around talking about how screwed up every other Black person is. You really need to look in the mirror, read a book, dump your out of control emotions and get in the head space to start solving problems. Otherwise, you are only useful to whites as a weapon against other Black people. Grow up.
