(ThyBlackMan.com) Black Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson won’t be elected the first “real black President,” as news media giant Rupert Murdoch prophesied on Twitter October 7, 2015. For starters, Barack Obama has already filled that position. This may come as a surprise to some, but America really elected Barack Obama as our first real black president — not once, but twice. And the last time I looked, Obama is a real black man, just as he is a real American.
If Murdoch doesn’t think Obama is really black, I’d like to know Murdoch’s definition of a real white president? But I digress.
Further, Dr. Ben Carson will neither win the GOP 2016 nomination, nor get elected the second black president of America. The closest he’ll get to the White House — after having spoken at Obama’s White House prayer breakfast in 2013 — is as a guest, the next time he’s invited. Of this I’m certain. Why? Because of the dumb, insensitive, spoon-fed conservative rhetoric that’s coming out of his mouth since he became conservatives’ black political messiah
After the tragedy in Oregon, where nine people were killed by a mad gunman, Carson went on a Monday quarterbacking media tour, spouting some serious “jive.” When asked on Fox & Friends how he would have reacted in the situation, Dr. Ben Carson said:
“I’m glad you asked that question because not only would I not probably not cooperate with him, I would not just stand there and let him shoot me. I would say, ‘Hey guys, everybody attack him. He may shoot me, but he can’t get us all.’ ”
But, Carson’s own history came back to impeach him. Carson recalled when he had a gun pulled on him at a Popeye’s that he didn’t do anything of the kind. Instead Carson froze in fear.
Appearing on Sirius XM radio, Dr. Ben Carson explained:
“Guy comes in, put the gun in my ribs,” Carson recalled. “And I just said, ‘I believe that you want the guy behind the counter.’”
But there was an even more disturbing comment Carson made about the Oregon mass shooting. In a Facebook post, Carson said he would sacrifice a dead body in the name of the second amendment.
“I saw plenty of gun violence as a child. Both of my cousins were killed on the streets. As a Doctor, I spent many a night pulling bullets out of bodies. There is no doubt that this senseless violence is breathtaking – but I never saw a body with bullet holes that was more devastating than taking the right to arm ourselves away.”
My grandfather died from a bullet wound to the chest when armed thugs who robbed his dry cleaning business gunned him down. Losing my grandfather will always be more devastating to me than someone taking away my right to own a gun. But as a defender of the Second Amendment, Dr. Ben Carson should have focused his comments on responsible gun ownership, enforcement of existing gun laws, and the need for better coordination between mental health professionals and law enforcement.
This isn’t the first time Carson has said something dumb. In January, he spoke to an adoring crowd at the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting. Carson said Americans need to be more like ISIS “willing to die for what they believe in.” I guess that means Americans should behead Christians and journalists and burn our enemies alive in cages? That’s what ISIS does.
“Serious people seek serious solutions,” wrote Carson in the same Facebook post about the Oregon shooting.
Dr. Ben Carson should heed his own advice because the @RealBenCarson, as he refers to himself on Twitter, isn’t somebody I take seriously for president. My mother said he should stick to the chemistry lab. I agree and the operating room.

Ben Carson is a breath of fresh air. So what if he changes his mind! I change my mind about a lot of things often. Why be glued to a bad idea or a bad decision once you recognize you made a mistake? What I like most about him is that he’s bright and does not need the accolades. After a dozen honorary Doctorates and the Medal of Freedom he is set for life. And unlike our present occupier of the White House he clearly will not have to worry about his legacy. For once we have a bright guy who has done things as opposed to organizing communities. This man has operated on people’s brains for 30 years. He’s my guy for 2016. As for half black or 100% black who cares. As recent research has now shown we all carry some of the Neanderthal genes. We all came out of the same soup and after viewing some of images coming back from Pluto we are all a very small blip in the sky; it all depends on your perspective. Carson 2016
Obama is far from my favorite President, I didn’t vote for him either time, but I’m very proud of American voters for putting a man in office who looks like he does (half black doesn’t matter)and with a name like he has… very proud.
Time for America to have a woman President too, just hope we don’t start with Clinton or Fiorina.
But I agree, Carson can operate on me anytime, but I don’t want him heading the Oval office.
Obama’s not even a Man, he’s a childish, ignorant, self serving moron!
0bama is NOT a “real black man” as far as I’m concerned… half-white, and that’s it! Actually, he’s not even a “real man” as far as I’m concerned.
It would be an honor to have Dr. Ben Carson as my president. He is an honest person of honorable character. If we only achieved half of what Dr. Carson has achieved, we would all be consider extremely fortunate. We are exactly where we are because of the choices we make.
Selecting the right person for the presidency is not about skin color or really being black. It is what does a candidate bring to the national table of ideas. One day someone told me Obama was a black and I said “oh” what’s that suppose to mean. Another time, I also met Dr. Carson, when he was a prominent surgeon. Then I didn’t get the memo that he was black, before I met him San Diego, California. He then told the people in the room what it meant to be Dr. Carson, and I missed the “black” part about himself, because it wasn’t important to be so black about everything that he would not mentioned it. It was more important to get under the skin with a knife and save lives than to even notice a patient’s color (my diary notes from back in 1994).
