(ThyBlackMan.com) In light of Professor Saida Grundy’s apology for speaking truth about white supremacy racism, I want to share this article below that I wrote about Mass Incarceration. (It’s just ONE of the tools used from the White Supremacy Racism’s box of “Hoaxing and Coaxing 101: The Key to Maintaining White Capitalism”)
I believe we need to name these evils, have conversations about them.
Then move to change them.
Prof. Grundy spoke truth. The evidence is in how they are treating her.
White men in power ARE the problem. I said it, will continue to say it, until they prove themselves otherwise.
And I will NOT apologize!
Through many conversations, I’ve learned that many of us are, either, blinded by the lies of mass incarceration, or we have turned a blind eye to our brothers and sisters who are enslaved by mass incarceration. (Which in turn, all of us are enslaved by mass incarceration)
Let me pose the question, how many of you think because you are a law abiding citizen, who purposely avoids breaking our laws of the land, who is an alert citizen involved in a citizen crime watch; how many of you believe that this problem of mass incarceration will not affect you because of your good behavior?
How many of you believe mass incarceration is a business of buying and selling commodities on the public stock exchange? How many of you know that you are able to legally participate in the trading of “flesh” stock?
How many of you understand that the media purposely flaunts Black and Brown skinned bodies before their cameras and highlight certain stories on their broadcasts of “crimes” ,supposedly, committed by Black and Brown skinned bodies to precondition the public’s mind to fear them?
How many of you know that the people with power; judges, lawyers, police officers, county and city officials, and your government; all participate in the business of mass incarceration?
Brothers and sisters, I pose these questions to you for two reasons;
1) to, hopefully, bring awareness to this inhuman issue;
and
2) once your awareness has been peeked, what will you do to assist in ending mass incarceration?
I have many theories as to why this evilness of mass incarceration exists in our society today. I believe it is a present form of enslavement to contain and control the lives of the Black/Brown brothers and sisters. What do I mean by “contain and control”? Firstly, I want to point out that our Black and Brown brothers and sisters are incarcerated at ridiculously higher rates than that of white people for committing identical crimes. This is due to the white person’s privilege of finances (used to buy freedom), their privilege of “who” they know in the criminal justice system, and, mostly, due to their white skin (which is instilled into Americans {consciously or unconsciously} not to fear).
I believe the reasons for which we are contained, as a people, is to control our behavior which is feared due to the ignorance of our cultural differences, to control our economic opportunities, and to control our population. Because we are misunderstood, we are feared. We are feared because we have been stigmatized. And this is generations of stigmatism that has been instilled into every American due to white supremacy racism. We are taught from toddlers that “black” is related to everything bad and “white” is everything good and pure. It is a part of our American fabric, entwined down to the very intricacies of every fiber of woven thread. So, until we choose to love one another as ourselves, this stained and soiled fabric will always cover us to keep us falsely protected from the cold we are so afraid to stand up against. Just as Adam and Eve were shamed when they committed sin and covered up with fig leaves, our shame is blanketed with the fabric of sin that we, as Americans, have created.
We (Black and Brown skinned) are economically controlled by mass incarceration. When a parent is incarcerated their child suffers. The child is not afforded the opportunities as their peers. So, a cycle is created. The oppressor’s hope is that the child will follow the same path as the parent. Our community suffers economically because we lack in building and producing to our full potential. Therefore, we must go outside of our community to supply ourselves with what we need to survive because “our” suppliers, our builders, our nurturers, our teachers, our mothers, our men, our role models, our knowledge, our wisdom, etc. are locked up away from us to purposely and intentionally to destroy our community and to keep us economically enslaved.
Many do not want to hear, and certainly, do not want to accept my next theory on mass incarceration. Population control of our Black and Brown skinned people must be contained and controlled by the mind of white supremacy racism. When our brothers are incarcerated they are given sentences that are unfair and are meant to keep them incarcerated during their prime years of procreation. Also, our brothers may be incarcerated for a petty misdemeanor; however, when they are locked up, they are placed in a hostile environment. Then violations and crimes ensue to survive, which lengthens their original sentence.
There is a reason why police officers’ presences on our children’s campuses are so prevalent. First, it is to instill the fear of knowing that they are always being watched. Secondly, it is to create a mindset of normality, to have them think it is normal to be in the presence of guards with guns. So that when they are incarcerated later in their lives, guards should (by then) be normal to them, to tell them when to awake, when to go to sleep, when to eat, and when they are allowed to socialize. They are there to establish control in order to contain them as our children mature. Because when they mature, they are meant to become a part of the system of mass incarceration in order to be contained, controlled and used as commodities all for the sake of white supremacy racism.
You may be thinking if you stay out of trouble and don’t break any laws then what do you have to be concerned with? My answer is, you must be concerned with the system of mass incarceration. I mentioned earlier about stock trading. It is a fact that business proposals are done daily to build prisons. It is proposed to nearly every city and town throughout America to build a prison. The business person goes before the local government to propose building prisons to create jobs; jobs for prison guards, jobs for construction workers, jobs for vendors, jobs for food suppliers, jobs for uniform providers, jobs for all who want to take a turn at “cracking the whip” on inmates created by the system. The local government gives ear to these proposals because, after all, they were elected to create jobs, maintain the budget and help the area grow. So, they vote to erect a prison in their town.
Now the problem to fill the prisons presents itself. Well, it really isn’t a problem at all because,
1) our children have already been conditioned and groomed,
2) fear has been established by the media outlets,
and
3) America’s fabric has become more stained. Fear is then locked up, exchanged as commodities, and traded.
What will you do to break this link of Mass Incarceration from the oppressor’s chain? Will you vote so that your voice can be heard? Will you vote for candidates who share in ending mass incarceration? Will you begin to view our so-called “criminals” with love instead of fear? Will you begin to attend school board meetings to make changes for your child’s learning environment? Will you counsel with your brother or sister who has a drug problem instead of assist the police in arresting them? Will you visit your brother or sister in prison to tell them that you love them and you have their back when they return home because our community needs them? Will you organize your community and educate our brothers and sisters to the system of mass incarceration? Will you love your brothers and sisters as yourself and stand in this struggle?

Afraid of my own people? No, I prefer not to be around most of them, due to lack of commonality. I have been accused of being white not only on here, but because I have children with one woman, I don’t cheat, im not obsessed with sports teams and scores, I enjoy the outdoors, camping, etc. and spend almost every free second I have with my family. I had one negro tell me I am this way because I have been infected by white ideals. So, no its not out of fear, its out of poor broke ass negros, complaining about poverty, the hood, lack of jobs, but everyone seems to have the latest rims, the 400 dollar sneakers, and a mouth full of gold. The women are just as bad to, with the 500 dollar “Brazilian” hair extensions, complete diff set of fingernails every 2-3 days, shoes, the cars,…. Ya know flossing? Im sure you have heard of that. … NO, I do not want to be around it, live near it, nor do I want my prodigy to have anything to do with that lifestyle either. “if that be yo thang” … so be it, have at it and enjoy. All I ask is accept accountability for choices and decisions you make, I think that should be expected from everyone regardless of where you are from, what color you are, or whatever other crutch that you think entitles you to your special loop hole. Im tired of it, and quite frankly the rhetoric has gone on for decades, and it has not gotten better but worse.
You write a hateful, divisive article, and are quick to “IM NOT RACIST”…. You ever stop to think that maybe that white guy or woman is in power because they busted their ass to get there? The white business guy that toiled unpaid hours to get his business to where It finally started making money, you know the risk taker, the innovator, or the MD or the lawyer, that put off instant gratification while his co horts were out partying to get his degree, and then the fellowships, working another 6-8 years before he begins to draw a paycheck, so yeah. I have no problem with that, and there is no one, cabal, or distant group of white men keeping any black man or woman from going to school, working hard and getting what they way either. I work with hatians, Jamaicans, Africans, ya know black people from impoverished 3rd world countries. Many of these same people now have masters degress, phds, gainfully employed, etc. English was not even their first language, if the racism was so rampant, so institutionalized, and every black person has to face it around every corner than how can these black people come here and accomplish whatever it is they want to do. The bottom line is, if you continue to hold your point of view, be prepared to wait a very long time for every white person to embrace you and want to give you a chance or the benefit of the doubt on anything. Like it or not, there are social laws that exist, and for the most part “what you give is what you will get”. And no offense but who are you that any white person in power has to convince you of something other than what you have clearly made your mind up to being; again no offense, but get over yourself.
As far as the study materials that you provided I am quite aware of those stories, but again, that is corruption at a local level. I still want the movement named along with people directly involved. Again, its like santa or the easter bunny, everyone says they exist but no one has really seen them. Your arguments are not factually based but mythical and emotional in nature. Again, if you reply to anyting, I would like the specifics on the white cabal that is planning our demise. Again, I would like specifics, no local corruption, but who are these ‘WHITE MEN IN POWER” and what are the specific crimes against the black community, who are the members of this sacred brotherhood. Im serious and not being facetious but actually would like to know.
Shouldn’t criminals break the chain of being locked up repeatedly by not constantly breaking the law?
Hussan,
Firstly, I am stating for all to read..I AM NOT A Racists. I am an African-American woman who has been blessed to be conscious to the world around me.
This is were many people get so confused and lash out at others of us who are conscious, because we refuse to sit back and take it anymore. And our passion and our cause is to educate others around us. This is very important so that healing can take place, and, hopefully, change will ensue.
Please hear me when I say, WE LIVE in a WHITE Supremacy Racists society. AND, we are all affected by it.
It saddens my heart that you are so afraid of your own people. When I’ve encountered people such as yourself, I’ve learned they are afraid of others who are like them, because they are (and have been taught) to be afraid of themselves. Maybe it’s something that you can consider thinking about. I love my people, and everything that is different about us and our culture. So it enlightens my heart to be around us.
As far as your being concerned about “innuendos”, and such, I would suggest to you, as I do others, please research what I’ve shared. You should never just take someone’s word for anything, Always, find out for yourself. (I think we should have learned that lesson years ago when we were stripped of our heritage, our religion, etc., and told who we were allowed to be.)
But, just for you I’ve listed a few items that you should research, and then maybe you can understand what I’ve shared, and moreover, why I’ve shared it.

Educate yourself regarding “Black Wall Street”, then maybe you can help bring solution to our economy in our communities.(We seem to forget, the answer to our future, lies in our history)
Study your history prior to America. A good source to get started with is Eric Edwards, The Great African Collector. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XzQgc2AhH
I hope this helps.

A lot of serious accusations, I hope you have some specifics with names, actions, and people directly involved or affected. I’ll tell you something, I have had black supervisors and white supervisors. I have worked for black owned businesses and white owned businesses. And I will tell you directly id rather have a white administrator, boss, supervisor etc. any day of the week. In short they tend to be more realistic and fair, quick to promote, and for the most part will do whatever they can for you. I always hear about this distant group of white men that have careers in planning and promoting our downfall, but I have yet to see who they are and what it is exactly that they do.
I will also tell you and if I had the chance to communicate the educator is if you want to blanket a whole race with blame, do not be offended or upset, if they do not want to live near you, frequent your business, or have anything to do with you period.
The problem is we are good at spinning blame for our shortcomings, but cannot do much outside of that. No innovation, no jobs, and no one in their right mind would want to venture into our community to enjoy what we could possibly offer within the realm of culture… food, music, ambience, and the like, much like they do in Hispanic communities, Asian communities, and other communities that exist in our nation. Again, we segregate and separate ourselves, no racist white person is to blame for that. Just like the two thousand black babies aborted today, were done so by the decisions a black mother made, the shootings, single parent households, etc. these have been the outcomes of personal decisions made as a collective within a community.
If we were infact who we claim to be than places like Detroit, Baltimore, and a whole other laundry list of cities and places on this planet, that have been historically ran and controlled by blacks should be the most productive, job producing, peaceful places on the planet. But they are far from it, again, with no explanation, no specifics, and no list of people that are culpable, “its white people in power”. …. I wish more writers on this page were just authentic and honest and did not try to camouflage their racism, like Kamou Kambon, I can appreciate him because he will tell he hates all whites and that all need to be killed and exterminated. It saves a lot time and the people that read your articles know exactly where you are coming from. The innuendos, and reading between the lines, and etc. gets old.
Dear Independent Systems,
Thank you kindly for your comment. It’s obvious I do not agree with your thoughts. However, I always welcome conversation with an open mind and respect for others and their opinions.
With that said, I want to ask if you would either save this article, or input it into your mental file to recall on a later date. I understand that we are all at different levels of consciousness, so this may not be for you at this moment. BUT, I believe more than not, that this is a subject that you will recollect, especially, if it comes to affect you or your loved ones.
In the meantime, may I suggest you research what I’ve shared.
To get you started you can google this article:
“Maryland’s Governor rejected $11.6 million in additional funding for Baltimore schools, then approved a new $30 million youth jail”

Aaah, fellow mistaken negroes commit crimes at damn-scary high rate. Then the fruits of their labor are woven into a conspiracy to enslave the black males by Al Sharpton….I mean Dr. Boyce Watkins
“There is a reason why police officers’ presences on our children’s campuses are so prevalent. First, it is to instill the fear of knowing that they are always being watched”
This is why when I go to several rock concerts I am greeted freely by whites but when I go to hip-hop “events” or even on a particular side of town in the DAYLIGHT intimidation, questioning, robbery. Some of our people ARE ANIMALS. We need cops.
White men in power ARE the problem. I said it, will continue to say it, until they prove themselves otherwise.
Another liberal-style blanketed idiotic statement…with a hint of conservatism *shutters*
The originality is laughable…
