(ThyBlackMan.com) Over the past week or so we have all been witness to the Ray Rice turmoil and if you notice there’s been a huge uproar especially from the dominant class about domestic violence concerning several high class NFL players who happen to be black. The other day i was getting something to drink from a neighborhood establishment and the owner and I struck up a conversation about Ray Rice and she asked “why would he risk losing 10 million dollars?” I was puzzled but when I reversed the question and asked her “why didn’t his wife think about the 10 million dollars she doesn’t work that benefits her also” of course I was greeted with “you don’t condone what he did?” no I don’t but I do understand because I’m human.
Over the past four weeks we have watch a black man be choked out by police we’ve watched the black man have a false report made on him which resulted in him being murdered for holding a BB gun in a store that sells BB guns, we’ve heard of young men being shot down by cops in the middle of the street with his hands in the air.. young men being shot down in the middle of the street because they are 50 feet away with a knife, young man being killed in the back of police cars while their handcuffed. And in every case the perpetrator is either on vacation with pay or still at their job despite there being numerous video and reports the LA officer who beat the black woman down in the middle of the freeway is still working. I don’t know about you but I feel so much better than Ray Rice doesn’t have a job now I hope you feel my sarcasm.
This whole industry incident underscores what I have been saying for the past 10 years you can kill a black man and absolutely nothing will happen to you. In Chicago they talk about black on black crime but no one is being arrested for these murders ,but the minute that these children murder outside their race they are caught prosecuted and locked away forever. Which prompted me to think what is a black man’s life worth?
A black man’s pride and respectability come under attack on a daily basis is not your random celebrity or NBA owner its a talk show host or some TV talking head who is never set foot in our community but is quick to hand out judgment on how we live. As I begin to talk with the business owner I asked her why don’t we show this outrage about the woman who was beaten LA how come no one is showing this type of outrage at the fact Michael Brown killer is not in jail.
George Zimmerman murder Trayvon Martin and get away with it then beat his wife and her father and no one made a big stink about it for 3 weeks and said he should never be employed. No its your show do you think that’s because so many people like George Zimmerman and so many people hate Ray Rice or could it be the one of them has a lot more melanin than the other? The late dr. Khalid Muhammad said that black man hood was under attack, we are the only group that can be murdered and then blamed for our own murder get what always portrayed as violent thugs and criminals in any miss giving that we may have a mistake we make will be over blown and used as a broader brush to paint on the community. I’m wondering when it’s okay for a black man to defend himself or stand up for himself.
The Jay Z, Solange elevator fight everyone criticized jay-z for not reacting… Then the Trayvon incident he was being followed and now that we see how this man is probably harassed by George Zimmerman if he did punch George Zimmerman it was probably because this creepy bastard was following, any white man in that situation may have reacted the same way but would not have got the same outcome. I would I find equally appalling is the amount of black people how are so quick to run and condemn another black man who obviously made his only mistake and feels like his livelihood should be taken away.
So what leads me to ask this question what is a black man worth? And I don’t mean body I mean self respect dignity pride what is it worth? If you watch entertainment and TV to strip a black man of his dignity people will pay millions and if a black man attempts to stand erect and carry himself with pride they will go to great lengths to strip him of his dignity no matter the cost. So again I ask is being a black man worth more to you than being a millionaire?
If it is you’ll never have a problem understanding what’s going on in society and why you are still at the bottom rung but if your pride can be bought if your worth is determined by dollar sign you will forever be a slave and puppet subject to character assassination and real assassination when white people get tired.

A black woman can only answer that question. When dealing with the aspects of appreciation And how she visualizes his qualities.

Very good article Var.. Hopefully more will read..
im with you on every point.. not only is mike browns killer free, hes $500,000 dollars richer as a result of taking his life. with more than 20 eyewitnesses saying the same thing you would think an arrest should be made, if somebody is accused of committing a crime, one statement from a witness is enough to have them bust your door down.
That article was on point cuz, a eye and mind opener
Wrap your mind around this; is it any different? To be murdered with a bullet between your eyebrows for your family and peers to see. Or is it to bare witness of being tied arm and leg to horses in opposite direction to rip your burning body in half in front of peers. Which would have the most impact of the breaking?
More than a penny, yet less than the national debt! They have the historic blueprint on breaking both horse and thyniggaman. Do not be afraid please, they love horses. Larry Davis (NY) 86 would not let his family nor peers had too suffer the pain of the NYPD wackin him.
