(ThyBlackMan.com) Many will argue that because George Zimmerman was in fact acquitted by a jury of his peers, he should no longer be looked upon as a murderer. However, in a justice system where what you can prove often outweighs what actually happened, it is more than understandable why many will always view Zimmerman as a murderer. Many times a not guilty verdict simply doesn’t equal a person’s actual innocence. But what would make him a celebrity in anyone’s eyes? I often wondered what people who were cheering and rooting for George Zimmerman throughout the trial were actually cheering for? It could’t be that he would get away with killing an unarmed black teenager. But other than that, what exactly is he famous for?
Whatever the explanation, George Zimmerman has currently agreed to a celebrity boxing match for charity.
This is wrong on so many levels. Before we make jokes about signing up Mike Tyson or Kimbo Slice, let’s first imagine how Trayvon Martin’s parents must feel at this moment.
Words cannot express how disrespectful this is to the parents and loved ones of Trayvon Martin. They have endured not only their son being labeled as a thug, his reputation and character smeared by the prosecuting attorney and the devastating humiliation of a not guilty verdict that lowered the value of their son’s life to less than nothing, but add to that this complete spectacle of a charity event involving Trayvon’s killer. From the time their son’s life was snuffed at the hands of George Zimmerman, and throughout every step of the process thereafter, they have handled everything with a grace and dignity that is unimaginable. Why insult them any further?
What type of a human being would actually organize an event like this? The entire ordeal is disgusting.
Furthermore, to exploit the emotions of an entire country who were intensely following the details of a case that not only devalued the life of Trayvon Martin but every young black teenager in the country is not only monstrous but sickening. This infamous not guilty verdict personally hit home with black people from every walk of life in America. It prompted President Obama to say:
When Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago. And when you think about why, in the African-American community at least, there’s a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it’s important to recognize that the African-American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn’t go away.
While the promoters of this event may have thought of it as nothing more than an opportunity to make a quick buck, its level of disrespect is repulsive. Shame on them and anyone else who would support this.

Analyzing the Evidence
There are plenty of other articles written about this that are incredibly comprehensive. Zimmerman shouldn’t have even been charged with a crime — there wasn’t enough evidence. Even veteran state detectives agreed.
The only reason he’s in trouble is because of racial outrage that’s based on people who either aren’t keeping up with the facts or who are being lied to for political gain.
The corruption against Zimmerman is so bad, a prosecutor has been indicted. Even the feds were propping up and supporting anti-Zimmerman protests. It’s disgusting. Due process means nothing to these people. BRAINWASHED SHEEP BELIEVED WHAT THE MEDIA WAS PUTTING INTO THEIR HARD DRIV… I mean head
3. No evidence to the contrary. COPY AND PASTE GOES ALONG WAY
There is no evidence to prove anything other than what was said. At best, Trayvon’s girlfriend tried to claim she heard Zimmerman jump on top of Martin… through a cell phone, during the rain. Her original thoughts are muddled, contradictory, and the idea that she could have even heard that is absurd.
She also admits that she previously lied to prosecutors. This isn’t enough to even take seriously, much less give a murder conviction over.
The only eyewitness who was against Zimmerman was a woman who found out during cross examination that Trayvon Martin didn’t have the body of a 12-year-old. In other words, Martin was the taller one on top. This is an example of the media trying to crucify someone.
In other words, the only evidence that went from strongly hurting Zimmerman was flipped during the trial. She was mislead by the media — and she should now be seen as an eyewitness in Zimmerman’s favor.
2. Cuts and broken bones.
Zimmerman explained that his nose was broken and his head was being hit into the pavement. This happened. There were eyewitnesses of the punching, and photographic evidence of the damage to the back of his head:
In the state of Florida, if you are in fear of “serious bodily injury or death”, you can use deadly force. This means that as soon as you can reasonably fear being seriously injured by someone, you have the right to do whatever necessary to stop the risk.
You don’t have to be half dead, about to die, or close to death. You have to be in reasonable fear of it — or great bodily injury.
Zimmerman was being beaten in the middle of the night by a kid we later discovered was likely high. His nose was broken, he was pinned down, and his head was being hit against the pavement. He was absolutely justified.
1. Eyewitnesses.
Jonathon Good was a neighbor who ended up seeing the fight between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman. Immediately after the conflict, he told police that there was a ”darker-skinned guy on top pretty much throwing down blows.”
In the next “point” we’ll look at the evidence of the blows. Yes, they were definitely there. This means that far from randomly shooting a kid, Zimmerman was being beaten to a bloody pulp in his own neighborhood.
After that, we’ll look at another eyewitness who was supposed to be against Zimmerman… who changed her story when she realized the media mislead her.
The media, however, thrives on racial resentment. The political left uses it to create divide so that minorities will continue to vote Democrat and blindly support new welfare policies. Because of this, they need to make this a murder story
to convict George Zimmerman of murder or manslaughter for the shooting of Trayvon Martin WOULD HAVE BEEN A MISTAKE, It was never even questionable on the basis of actual evidence. There was no point in which we had evidence that Zimmerman shot him in any other context besides self defense, On Zimmerman’s side are eyewitnesses, bloody cuts to the back of his head, a broken nose, and nothing to suggest otherwise. The media created a hysteria which is starting to fade. Even anti-Zimmerman commentators are starting to admit he is innocent..
Maybe he is trying in some backwards way. Get beat up to make everyone feel a little better or to in his mind settle some demons. I am sure he already knew he would get matched up with a African american to beat him down. Of course under controlled circumstances this time. But this is a non-issues to me, the sooner we move on and stop reporting or wanting to hear about his every movement the sooner they will stop tearing at the wound for the family.
Yes, George Zimmerman IS a murderer. In addition, he has never (at least publicly) expressed any remorse for his senseless taking of a young life. In fact, he once told Sean Hannity that it was “God’s plan.” He has continued to show disrespect to the late teenager’s family because he has been capitalizing off his infamy. Worse, he has enablers who defend him and feel that he was entitled to accost this kid who was doing nothing wrong. His image is not a good one and wasn’t even before 02-26-12. He has a history of violence and has gotten slaps on the wrist because of his father’s connections. While he was acquitted, the fact remains that he killed this kid for no reason at all, except for his prescription drug-fueled, delusional paranoia. His acquittal resulted from a lousy prosecution and Zimmerman’s defense team being given unbelievable liberties to smear Trayvon’s character without the prosecution bringing up George Zimmerman’s very real history of confrontational violence. He might one day partly redeem himself if he were ever able to admit that he made horrible errors in judgment that night that led to one big irreversible one. Otherwise, it is unlikely that his image will be “restored,” especially since he didn’t have a good one to start with.
It may be that George Zimmerman’s trying to restore his image. A very high percentage of the public views him as a murderer. If I wrote this article and believed he was guilty the title would read: No, George Zimmerman IS NOT a celebrity. Yes, he is a murderer. It seems as though this is a way of putting the death of Trayvon and trial behind him. Boxing for charity may not be the smartest route. Especially with labeled as public enemy #1. DMX and The Game have announced that they would get in the ring with George. And they have said that f**king him up is what’s up. George must not realize that saying he’d take on ANY opponent isn’t the brightest thing to say. I know for a fact that he’s gonna lose.
