(ThyBlackMan.com) Don’t Shop For One Weekend To Honor Trayvon Martin.

We get no respect from the justice system. A Black life is worth far less than others to police and to the courts. But we can sure spend money to make ourselves feel good. Our hard earned dollars are a vastly disproportionate share of total consumer spending especially at Christmas time, and most especially on Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend. We are profiled in department stores, but we still keep coming back for more. BOYCOTT-THE-BOYCOTT

Our children are stopped, frisked and killed with impunity. Have we forgotten Trayvon Martin, and the thousands before him, and the thousands yet to come if we continue to do nothing? Let’s make this Black Friday a real Black Friday. Register your protest by withholding your money from the cash registers that fund the machine that is trampling us.

BLACK FRIDAY BOYCOTT: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1

Rosa Parks and the Black citizens of Montgomery boycotted the buses for a year. They chose to walk with dignity rather than ride in shame. Can we not do the same? Resist the temptation to spend beyond our means for three short days. Every generation must discover its mission and then decide whether to fulfill or betray it. It is our turn now. SPREAD THE WORD

My Father always said if you see nothing then say nothing aka Trolls!
And we’re in with the BOYCOTT, Power of the BLACK DOLLARS!

  2. @ Robert

I don’t go to any dedicated white sites on purpose because we have very little in common when it comes to the Black community. I totally agree with you on ignoring them. I just told a Sister trying to talk sense to that devil ewill not to bother, so he can continue to make comments to himself.

Black Unity means financial independence and happiness

  3. ROBERT says:

    @ TERRANCE AMEN

THE appearance of the white trolls is a sign of fear ; fear of us coming together to talk about and solve our own problems.

HOW many white websites do you visit for the sole purpose of harassment.

LET’S just keep communicating to each other and ignore these beast!

  4. Brother Lewin, it seems this article is trying to be taken over by devils. Maybe of different colors. I agree with you, but we must do more than this. Unfortunately our people are not yet organized, unless theirs a well known so called leader behind it. Promoting it for their own personal gain. But our time is coming.

Black Unity means financial independence and happiness

  5. ewill says:

    Oh yea,
Start your crap like you did in the sixties.
    This isn’t the sixties.
You had your chance to make good.
We dont feel sorry for your situation today.

  6. Dan says:

Name one business that will feel pain if it closes for three days, to be made up for on the next three days.
Rosa Parks started a boycott that lasted a YEAR. That shows commitment. Taking one day off from shopping shows nothing.

  7. Doug in Jax says:

    Does this boycott cover shoplifting?

For your next mindles boycott, I suggest burning EBT cards in protest of the white system. Show those whitey grocery stores who’s boss!

Isn’t the word “boycott” a racist codeword?

  8. Pete says:

Please publish the date you stay home. I might find it safe to go downtown and shop without getting robbed.

  9. gah says:

To really impress upon the nation the economic power of blacks, have a weekend free of criminal activity. You’d be able to show just how many policemen, security guards, wardens, prison guards, etc., would lose their jobs if it weren’t for blacks. To say nothing of the construction works who are busy as bees building prisons.

  10. ArthurLewinIsAnIdiot says:

What a freaking STUPID column to write.

Trayvon simply got what his punk-a$$ deserved – his mistake was picking on someone who could (and DID) fight back.

Stop lying to yourself and to the rest of the black community.
