The holidays are here. Most of us singles are feeling the pressure of wanting to be bunned up, cuffed up and if we make the wrong choice we’ll end up messed up. It’s no secret, this time of year is the most depressing season for single women. How do we calm our fears and why does our loneliness creep upon us so desepertly during this time? Spike your egg nog while reading this if you haven’t already. LOL
I’ll tell you why…..
We are human. I am human. I want to be held, I want to be kissed, I want to be wanted and feel compassion and I know you do too. As you read this, you can feel him/her walking up behind you and whispering “babe, come to bed.” We as
a people need to be cooled, relaxed and brought comfort. I will not sit up here and have you read that this is not something that no one needs. But what I will tell you is that to just accept anything during the holidays will RUIN YOU. Do not fall into that desperation that has you calling Mr. April, Mr. May & Mr. June. Because truth be told, he will come – regardless if he has his own chick.
So what are you going to do? Wait around a whole nother year for this man to eat your “turkey” and open your “gift“? Girl please. The whole time you are waiting, there is a man out there that is controlling his thermostat and willing to give you what you need full time 365 days a year. Do not think that long stroke on Black Friday is going to be around on Good Friday….men do not work that way. Don’t make love just for fun, make it so that it lasts for all holidays, including your birthday! Yes it’s about you GIRL – ITS YOUR HOLIDAY! Let a real man observe it!
I think I figured out the key to loneliness for all – GOD & FAMILY. Something that brings you a smile with faith, a hot and a cool all at the same time. Holla if you hear me, but you know that one relative that you can’t stand but then love when they make you laugh? Yup – them. And although you heard God’s word, you are annoyed because it applies to you and you can’t seem to apply it! You’re like “I hear you father, just please give me time!!!”
Outside of a warm human body to be intimate with there is so much more that we don’t take advantage of. If you have a family to come home to, and a God to worship – then what is your problem? This time of year isn’t about giving thanks to orgasms and lavish gifts….if it is to you, then okay – get your Mr. April, and you probably had Mr. May & June too – smh.
Control your thermostat this season….set it at a temp and don’t adjust it to anyone or anything. Conserve your energy for something that’s worth it.
