(ThyBlackMan.com) Regardless of how you feel about Beyonce you have to admit that the sista is taking care of business.  The name Beyonce alone is a brand within itself and is known across the globe. From Chicago to Hong Kong the name Beyonce falls across the lips of everyone. There are not many people who have not heard of her and if they haven’t they must be living under a rock.

Who would have known that a little, black girl from Houston, Texas would become one of the hottest music icons in the entertainment world today? Obviously the Beyonce brand is paying off big time. Last noted Beyonce’s net worth was three million according to Forbes. Not bad for a girl from the south.

Beyonce has used her likeness for a number of companies. She can be seen in L’Oreal, L’Oreal commercials for the 2012 Super Bowl and even American Express back in 2007. Now she’s hit it big time with Pepsi.CUBA-US-BEYONCE

Beyonce has signed on with Pepsi to promote their well known product. But the beauty of this partnership is that she is not only promoting Pepsi, Beyonce is promoting herself as well. It’s being said Beyonce’s multi-year deal partnership with Pepsi is making her a cool $50 million.

According to Yahoo’s Music Blog http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/hip-hop-media-training/beyonc%C3%A9-pepsi-strike-estimated-50-million-multi-level-184957741.html the campaign won’t just include TV and radio commercials or magazine and billboard ads. Beyonce’s image will appear on a limited-edition run of Pepsi cans and she will receive a multi-million dollar Creative Development Fund for the co-creation of relevant consumer content.

Beyonce is doing what other celebrities have been doing for years. She is allowing companies to use her likeness to sell their products and merchandise. But there seems to be a twist. She is using the opportunity to showcase her personal brand and talent.

With this latest endeavor Beyonce’s new Pepsi commercial features Beyonce dancing with her former selves. According to Noreen Jenney Laffey, president of Celebrity Endorsement Network celebrities want more control.

Beyonce is using her star power and design power to contribute to Pepsi’s marketing strategy.  Beyonce’s new song Grown Woman will be seen by more than 1 billion people in connection with this Pepsi campaign.

Beyoncé has also contributed in designing the new Pepsi cans with her image. These limited edition cans will be given out at special Pepsi-sponsored events, but sorry they will not be sold in stores and of course Pepsi will sponsor her upcoming concert tour.

“Celebrities don’t just want creative approval anymore,” says Noreen Jenney Laffey, president of Celebrity Endorsement Network. “They want creative control.”

Creative control is definitely what Beyonce is getting. It seems that there is more to Beyonce than singing at Super Bowl games and dancing with herself in mirrors.

Beyonce Knowles is one of the most powerful women in business and the entertainment industry hands down. She is using her talent and name and taking it to new heights. I am sure that even when her singing career ends she will still be a force to be reckoned with.
