(ThyBlackMan.com) A political action committee for Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is facing scrutiny.

Politico reports that the political action committee Endorse Liberty, which is supporting Ron Paul, has used a federal campaign finance loophole to avoid disclosing its donors until the end of the month.

“Endorse Liberty, which is nearing $1 million in pro – Ron Paul independent  expenditures since forming in December, informed the Federal Election Commission in a brief memorandum this afternoon that it is changing its campaign finance disclosure frequency from quarterly to monthly,” Politico reports.

The move comes as Ron Paul is gaining support in key states, such as New Hampshire and Nevada, and has increasingly come under the lens of scrutiny. Late last year, the Texas Republican ended an interview with CNN, citing concerns with questions related to a series of racist newsletters published under his name and distributed ten years earlier.

Earlier this week, the Ron Paul campaign expressed concern with the growing groups of supporters at campaign rallies, saying Ron Paul’s wife, Carol, was pushed by reporters during an event in New Hampshire.

Still, the latest move by the PAC comes as political action committees have emerged as powerful weapons during the 2012 presidential race, already spending into the low eight-figure range on advertisements and other communications.
